With 2 strands held tog: 9 dc = 4 inches; 6 rows = 4 inches

Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.
Special Stitches
Circle: Fpdc (see Stitch Guide) around indicated st, ch 3, [fpdc around same st, ch 3] 4 times, turn work upside down, [fpdc around previous st, ch 3] 5 times, turn work right side up, fpdc around first st to complete circle.
Picot: (Sc, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook) as indicated in instructions.
