About this series
"So as near as I could tell the end of the world began roughly about the time that Billy Carver’s butt rang for Santa Claus about halfway through the War of 1812."
Sixteen year old Briar Gamble is having a bad day.
It started with the cell phones singing for Santa Claus.
Then came the tanks and the storm troopers.
The Black Masks, in their black fish bowl sunglasses.
And then along came Captain Albino.
The shooting started shortly after that.
Like I said - Briar Gamble is having a REALLY bad day.
And it's about to get worse.

This is the story of the end of the world - as told by a teenager. "So as near as I could tell the end of the world began roughly about the time that Billy Carver’s butt rang - about halfway through the War of 1812." Sixteen year old Briar Gamble is having a bad day. It started with the cell phones singing for Santa Claus. Then came the tanks and the storm troopers. The Black Masks, in their black fish bowl sunglasses. And then along came Captain Albino. That's how it all started back in October 2012 when I released the FIRST episode of FLASH VIRUS. What you are looking at now is the first FIVE episodes of FLASH VIRUS - and the first full length novel in the series. That's right. All five first episodes combined into one full-length novel.
- Flash Virus: Episode Two - The Whispering Cage
Briar Gamble's bad day is about to get worse. The end of the world is progressing at an alarming rate. Bullets are being fired. People are being killed. A LOT of people are being killed. Who is Captain Albino? Why is he invading Briar's school? I could you tell you about the mind-reading - but you probably already knew that I would say that.
- Flash Virus: Episode Three - The Freak Army
The third thrilling episode of a five episode series asks a VERY simple-sounding question. How much would you give for a jelly sandwich? The answer might surprise you. This is the tale of a bad day, getting worse by the minute. Buy your copy today! What people are saying about Flash Virus “A rip-roaring, action-packed, thrilling adventure that will appeal to young and old alike.” “The right amount of weird mixed with an entertaining concept.” “This is the first YA feature I've read of Vernon’s. Young and old will enjoy this fun, suspenseful trip.” “If you're looking for a slick fun read, answer the call and prepare to be assimilated.” “I've never completely trusted cell phones and it turns out I was right. Steve Vernon's FLASH VIRUS grabs the reader by the short and curlies and doesn't let go.” “This is a fast paced, witty as hell and the perfect guy kind of book. Honestly, as I read this I could see my smart mouthed nephew in the role of the main character.” “FLASH VIRUS is YA gone viral!”

- Flash Virus: Episode Four
This the story of the end of the world - as told by a teenager. Things are really beginning to heat up in Briar's school. Captain Albino's kid-programming sessions are underway. Under the blue light Briar is transformed physically. Under the yellow light Briar is transformed mentally. But it isn't until Captain Albino takes Briar to the burning barrel that things REALLY begin to heat up.

Everybody always wants a peek at the man behind the curtain. They all want to see just exactly what makes an author tick.Which ticks me off just a little bit - but what good is a lifetime if you can't ride out the peeve and ill-feeling and grin through it all. Hi! I am Steve Vernon and I'd love to scare you. Along the way I'll try to entertain you and I guarantee a giggle as well.If you want to picture me just think of that old dude at the campfire spinning out ghost stories and weird adventures and the grand epic saga of how Thud the Second stepped out of his cave with nothing more than a rock in his fist and slew the mighty saber-toothed tiger. If I listed all of the books I've written I'd most likely bore you - and I am allergic to boring so I will not bore you any further. Go and read some of my books. I promise I sound a whole lot better in print than in real life. Heck, I'll even brush my teeth and comb my hair if you think that will help any.For more up-to-date info please follow my blog at:http://stevevernonstoryteller.wordpress.com/And follow me at Twitter:@StephenVernonyours in storytelling,Steve Vernon
