Preface
Dear Teenage Friend,
At this time in history when it seems everyone is busy being critical of your generation, I want to do something to encourage you.
I have worked with teenagers for over fifteen years. I do not claim to be an expert, but I do care about you.
I know today's teenagers face daily obstacles like those of no previous generation. It is my desire that the principles in this book will encourage and help you make it over life's obstacles.
Teenager, I care for you, love you and believe you can make it!

Chapter 1
The Gift of Salvation
My friend, God wants to give you the gift of salvation.
The Bible says:
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
—Romans 6:23.
We are all sinners. We have all done things that are wrong. Because of sin, we are separated from God. God offers us the gift of eternal life—life in God's presence. He offers us His Holy Spirit to dwell in us. He offers this through His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus died in our place on the cross for our sins. He paid our sin debt (wages) so we could have God's gift of salvation.
The Bible says:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
—Romans 10:9,10.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
—Romans 10:13.
My friend, will you accept God's gift of salvation? Will you believe on Jesus Christ and ask Him to be your personal Saviour now?
Pray this prayer from your heart:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I ask You to forgive me of my sin and be my personal Saviour. I believe that You died for my sin and arose from the dead. Please come into my heart and save me. Thank You, Jesus, for Your gift of eternal life. Amen.
My friend, if you just prayed that prayer from your heart, please write to me. I would like to send you some free material that will help you.
Your friend,
Brother Don Woodard
Chapter 2
Begin
Everything that man has ever accomplished began with an idea or a vision. Even the bad things that have been done had a beginning.
A concert pianist did not wake up one day and instantly become a concert pianist. Rather, he began to take piano lessons, then continued to learn and practice what he had learned—and practiced
