About this ebook

Have you ever went deep inside the mind of a mad man? Deep inside the thought process of a man who was willing to risk everything for the love of his life? You would definitely think that a man like Jacob could get everything he ever wanted with the snap of his finger. The funny part is that Jacob was just that man, but it took a little convincing for him to make Tasha see it that way. See, Tasha was an Independent woman. You know? "I'm a survivor, Independent woman," Beyonce Knowles quoting sista. Jacob would definitely have to work hard on Tasha on making her see the Andrew's way of life.

    Jacob - Melica Niccole

    Introduction

I began writing Jacob: In the Mind of a Mad Man in spring of 2012. This was approximately two years after the release of Dead Wrong, which was the inspiration for this sequel. Prior to finishing Dead Wrong in 2010, I knew that I wanted that book to have a sequel. I just was not sure what the name of the book would be. In writing this book, I wanted the questions left unanswered in the previous book to be answered in this book. I chose to write Dead Wrong in a way that left people guessing and wanting more. This allowed me to set the stage for the sequel and work toward bringing light to some of the unanswered questions in my first book.

This book took me about two and a half years to develop and complete. This was very different from my first book, which only took about two months to complete. It took me longer to complete this compared to the other book because there were different circumstances surrounding the project. I was definitely still working full-time, going to school, and completing other projects. These projects consisted of writing a newsletter, writing many blogs, writing reviews, and keeping up with social media. The difference this time was that I was now fully immersed in projects where I had to constantly think a lot. Thinking at work and completing special projects cut into my creativity at home. I had thought so much during the day that I definitely did not want to come home and have to think. I wanted to relax and have fun. I tell people this is when writer’s block hit because I was definitely all thought out when it came to writing a book.

In relocating to the Garden State in early 2014, I still did not reclaim my writing mojo. It wasn’t until about late September that I had recovered my will to continue to write. I knew that writer’s block was over when I woke up wanting to write, wrote during lunch time, and ended the night by writing. It was a great feeling to have my desire to write return. I have so many novels I have started that it’s about that time to finish them all.

Jacob: In the Mind of a Mad Man is about the thought process of a mentally unstable individual who could snap at any given moment and he only has one thing to blame; love. This book divulges the mindset of an unbalanced individual who displays unhealthy characteristics of love and love’s reactions to many situations. This book would be great for group discussions for men and women in unhealthy relationships and for people looking for ways to identify domestic violence.

Since Dead Wrong was well received by readers, it is my hope that this book brings about the same feelings as the first book did. This book also has similar emotionally powered words, thought-provoking questions, and romantic satire that the previous book displayed. I would like individuals to be able to relate to the material, as if the book was written about them. I also want individuals to start identifying unhealthy relationships and either remove themselves from these types of situations or help someone to change their lives by removing unhealthy people from their lives. I absolutely know that getting involved with someone else’s relationship can be challenging, especially if they continue to go back to the same individual over and over again. In this situation, I would just suggest that you prepare the individual with the resources they need in order to make a change for themselves. The end of the book has discussion questions that can assist you or someone you know with discussing the book and ways to identify unhealthy relationships. Continue to progress and enjoy!

    Remnants of the Present

You made me do this to you. How could you? I loved you. You stupid heifer. You make me sick. You must pay now for what you have done to me. And believe me, you will pay. Jacob Andrew paced the room looking at the almost-lifeless body lying on the floor. How dare Tasha Smith mistake his love and toleration of all this bullshit she had put him through? Did she think he would just sit around and let J-E take what was his? Or let Joe Smo take her down memory lane and out of his life? Oh no. It was not going down like that. He was in control now. Tasha better get with the program and act like she know. And if she didn’t know, he would surely teach her the Andrews’ way of life. Jessie knew all about that life. If war was what she wanted, war was exactly what he was going to give her.

You know you did this to yourself, right? Jacob said towering over the figure on the floor that could have been his wife. All she had to do was hold tight until he took care of his issues with Jessie. See, Jessie had his son, but Tasha, that girl had his heart. She had the inside crevices of his heart, which looked at beauty with a whole new light. She had the vessels that pumped oxygenated blood to his body and expelled carbon dioxide. Tasha had the blissful parts of his burning heart that moved all through his body and returned and settled in the apex of his heart. He loved that girl.

I loved you. I cared for you. I would have done anything for you. You stupid trick. Jacob had to let Tasha know that he meant business. Who the hell did she think she was, making him feel jealous? If he was in his right mind, he would off her right now. See his father taught him to be in his right mind when he was actually in his wrong mind, and his wrong mind when he was actually in his right mind.

I would have given you the world, but you had to mess that up. Didn’t you? Jacob’s words become colder and colder. He thought all of the things he had sacrificed for her. He had made changes to his life in order to win her over and make her his. He was working on interpersonal skills with her friends, especially her male friends. Just look at how well he had took to Joe Smo. They were practically best friends after his great debate about Ms. Smith.

You made me do this to you. How could you? I loved you. You stupid heifer. You make me sick. Now, you must pay. It was clear to Jacob that Tasha had to pay for making him look like a fool because everyone knew looking like a fool just wasn’t cool. Matter of fact, what she really needed to do was to read that, I’m Sorry poem to him. She could definitely skip the part about Your best isn’t good enough and go right into I’m sorry for the everlasting. Quick to react. Insensitive. Always looking for a reason. Egotistical. Righteous. Always right. Argument. Loving. Caring. That’s my boo. Love that I have for you. He would take an apology as such, but seeing that he was dealing with a stubborn girl, he knew the chances of getting that apology.

Tasha’s fingers ran across her blood-drenched eye that would have to be pried open with a crowbar just to see half of
