About this ebook
Narf, the last of his entire race, that once covered the earth. Now he's the last survivor of this intelligent race, living alone. To be able to eat he has to rely on the humans for help. Narf had tried all the different animals around, but no one could even compare to the wonderful taste of a human body.
Narf had found out that most of the humans would kill their own species for gold, or money. He had when he lived by his own beings found an enormous gold vein close to where they lived. When the people of his own tribe wanted to tell every Narfft about his discovery he had killed his tribe with a potent poison. He had left them dead outside their huts as a deterrent for others. Narf had never given a thought that illness could come from the dead bodies, but it did. He was the last and only survivor of this noble race. He could not understand why he had survived when all the others had painfully past away. He was great-full that humans never caught the illness.
Narf had told two humans about the gold deposit and helped them to safeguard the gold until a large company got the right to mine the enormous deposit.
Then started the trouble and deceit, when more of the humans wanted a part of the gold.

The semitransparent Narf is the last living entity of his tribe, and race, the people he had lived with. Even the last of his entire race, that once included many millions of citizens here on Earth. The semisolid Narfft’s, that had been the first intelligent inhabitants of this planet, when it was created millions of years ago, before time itself. He knew, he wouldn't live for more than another thousand years, at the most. Narf had decide to make these last years as pleasant as possible for himself. To join with one of these new beings that called themselves humans wasn't something Narf himself was interested in. They had such a short lifespan, and he would have to change to another human every ten to fifteen years. Too much trouble in Narf's opinion.
In the beginning, when the members of Narf's race, the Narfft’s, were covering the entire planet and they had all the different animals to hunt, and feed on, life had been good to the Narfft’s. Now Narf, the last of his kind was all alone. He had made this underground dwelling of his, and brought in treasures to make the humans easier to entice. He knew how they would kill each other for gold, money or valuable treasures. If there was enough gold to make them powerful, they would kill their entire family to get it. To make these humans kill each other for a small remuneration was something Narf had found out was easy. And he used it as often as he needed their help. He also knew that the humans would sooner or later be able to stop him from killing their citizens for food. That's why he had built this home under a park to lure them down and use their greed for gold and money to make them kill their own kind for some of the gold, and some useable currency. At first Narf had thought it was wrong to make someone else do his own killing. However, with the speed the human’s science progressed it would only be a short time now, and they would be able to stop him. Narf had to accept the truth, the humans had to do the killing for himself, or he would starve. Now with these two latest humans, John and Peter Lang, he would be safe for another forty to fifty years. Narf had tried all the different animals around, but he had not found one single animal that could compare to the humans, for taste.
The only thing that bothered Narf now was his own conscious. He himself was the reason he was alone. He had been in the same situation the humans are today. His own greed and selfishness had caused his loneliness.
When for so many years ago, he had found the ultimate source of gold, a huge mother-load. All the members of his tribe including his own woman Archana, had all told him that such a treasure had to be shared by all Narfft's. He had at first pretended to agree with them, later when the day was set to inform the other tribes about the rich gold vein he had found, he with the help of a potent poison killed all the members of his own tribe and so, kept the gold for himself. He had not buried the dead bodies, but left them out in the open as a deterrent for other tribes. Narf had never given a single thought to the fact that illness could develop, and come from the dead bodies, but it did. How and why he himself had stayed alive he never knew. But the rest of his people, together with all the other tribes, died from these powerful bacteria that Narf started himself for more than hundred thousand years ago, now all these years later he could still feel some effect from the bacteria. He had often thanked the maker for making the humans immune to this horrible germ. Now I'm all alone, the last remnant from a past era.
he thought as he lived all alone in his underground home.
