Vandylism

About this ebook
Loyalty. That one word has ruled my entire life, since I was a pup.
However, that loyalty only goes as far as my Alpha, Silver. When it comes to my mate, Calista, a ho's a ho and I'll play as long as she does.
What should have been a short trip to Caprae to see the Grand Alpha, turned into a fiasco involving blood and death, all centered around one young Alpha-Born; a female no less!
What the f*ck did that damn wolf get me into this time?

prologue
I guess I should start from somewhere that makes sense. Luna knows I can just see it now, Vandyl makes no sense!
or I’m confused!
Well fuck you! Just kidding... sorta. I’ll start at the beginning, well as close to it as I can get, while keeping true to the story.
I’m going to assume you guys heard, at the very least, the story about the beginning of Xosha, you know about the dragon horde that showed up here un-fucking-announced and tried to be all obey me
and whatnot? If you haven’t, tough shit, get with the program, ‘cause I’m skipping that and the fucking war, there’s really no need for me to repeat more shit than I already have to.
All of you heard about the sugary love story between Katalina and Silver; those two will give me fucking cavities one day, I swear to Luna. My story follows theirs, obviously. Hey… Hey! Shut up! I’m only telling this shit because you wanted me to!
Even though it’s essentially the same story, it’s told from me; not Little Miss Priss and my lovesick Alpha, so shit’s different, after all, I wasn’t with them the entire time. So, chill and listen to the story. You never know, you may learn a thing or two.
After the war ended, shit between Chos’ half-sister, Isumi, and that Dragonian, Oryn, got hot and heavy. The two were practically attached at the hip and were discussing having pups, or hatchlings, however that damn mutant would be born.
Silver, Izuma, Isumi, Calista, DarkLaw, and me, were Chos’ betas. For those that don’t know, a beta is the best of the pack, the fact that Chos had like six of us, spoke of the amount of loyalty and dedication we had. Betas are the elite, the chosen few whose main job is to protect the Alpha and his family. We get choice pick of the females and males in the pack to fuck, and if anything ever happened to Chos and his Alpha-borns, one of us would take over as Alpha as the pack.
Silver, and those of us that followed him, really didn’t hang around Lupirian Mountain or the Solstyce Woods, unless it was a pack celebration or some shit. I guess I should tell how that came about.
Silver, and those of us who called him Alpha, had moved our pampered asses to Ryse’Dyn before the war started. We’d really just gotten tired of living like, well dogs. We didn’t want to live in the wild, we wanted to live in our Estates, and it was huge, not as huge as the black manor that Drakul lived in, but close enough. It had gone something like this:
I’m leaving. A handful want to follow me. This has nothing to do with you, Chos, I just think it’s time I had my own pack. We both knew eventually it would happen, even if we didn’t want it to,
Silver explained.
Chos nodded, I know, old friend. I thank you for your years of service to the pack and myself. Where will you go?
Ryse’Dyn. Vandyl, Calista, and a few others are going to go. The others are waiting for me at The Wastes’ border,
Silver stated.
Chos sighed and clasped Silver’s hand, then mine, and we left.
Chos was pretty loveable, so we didn’t really worry about some idiot in the pack challenging him for the Alpha position, and his daughter? Gods! Wynter was the sexiest thing on four, or even two, legs around. I’d have done her in a heartbeat, but she hadn’t been the same since she met and fell in love with Aziel.
Shit didn’t start going downhill until the morning Isumi disappeared. Now you may be thinking, so she went for a walk or some shit,
or, maybe she was with Oryn,
but no. Not Isumi, she never took a piss without letting her twin know. They were all they had after their mother died before the war. Sure, they called Reaper dad
but everyone, including them, knew Reaper wasn’t their dad, and Chos was just a half-brother that they never did shit with.
By this point in our lives, Chos was living large up on Caprae, in the castle his dad had built into Lupirian Mountain. Naturally, that meant the betas were up there too. Me and Silver had come for a visit, since Chos and Ember had just had a new pup, a male they named Lucifer, and it was some huge deal that required a month long celebration of the packs.
Izuma had gone off to the Solstyce Woods to look for his sister. He’d been gone for hours. Me and Silver were lounging in the grass in our Lupirian forms, taking in the sun, when a large stone-colored bird flew overhead and Izuma jumped off the damned thing before it had come to a complete stop like his ass was on fire.
Silver! Vandyl!
Izuma panted as he tripped over his own fucking feet running to us like a moron.
We sat up and looked to him. I ran a hand through my emerald hair and yawned. What the fuck do you want, Izuma? It better be important. I was having the hottest dream involving Wynter licking my cock like the champ I know she is…
I sighed; I wanted that wolf-dragon bad, just the thought of her got my cock hard more often than not.
Izuma shot me a glare; we never got along real well. He was all proper and shit, and I’m, well, me. It’s Isumi… I found her in the woods. Sh-she’s dead.
Well, that got our attention real fast. There hadn’t been a wolf gone missing since Alavar had stolen Shadow and his litter mates eons ago. We fought with Shadow’s Howler pack once in a blue moon, when they tried to be brave enough to come attack us, but they’d never killed any of us and left the body behind; they normally devoured their kills like fucking scavengers.
Are you sure it’s her?
Silver asked; he was always the levelheaded one of us, which is why we followed him so easily. I always knew he’d make a fucking top-A Alpha if he’d been given the chance, and once he got the chance, he proved me right.
Izuma nodded, though he was pissed off. You could tell ‘cause he growled at Silver. No one ever growls at Silver, most of Chos’ pack respected him just as much as they do their own Alpha.
Silver looked at me and I already knew this fucking punk was going to make me get off my lazy ass. We need to check this out. You have the best nose in the realm, Vandyl. Maybe it’s still fresh enough to tell who did it.
He looked to Izuma after that, Go over to Caprae and find Oryn. Get him to Chos and wait for us. Tell only Oryn and Chos what you found.
Izuma nodded and shifted to his hellhound form, and after catching an air current with his gargoyle wings, glided off toward Caprae.
Silver whistled for a pair of Rock Liths, as he ran toward the landing pad, and even though I didn’t want to go, I Climbed onto the back of the horse-sized stone-feathered bird, and followed him as he disappeared down into the woods.
Finding Isumi wasn’t as hard as you’d think. Sure she was one Hellian dead in the wood, but that was the point, she was a Hellian dead in the wood. Silver made me shift to my wolf form and sniff her out; it didn’t take long.
I have to admit, my stomach flipped a bit when I came up on her. She was naked, bent backward over a log and her stomach had been ripped to shreds.
Silver cut his gaze to me, I nodded and started sniffing around her body. Normally, the prospect of sniffing a hot, naked, female would get me every kind of excited you could imagine, but not this time. For starters, this one was dead.
After I finished sorting the different scents on her, I shifted back to my Lupirian form. Where do you want me to start?
Time of death would be good,
Silver answered.
My brain searched for that particular scent and I gave him an answer that didn’t please him, Yesterday.
Cause?
Silver asked, already knowing not to take the visible at face value.
I’m not really sure. It could be the broken spine, the snapped neck, or the fact that her guts were ripped out and, I’m going to assume since they aren’t here, eaten. All three were done within seconds of each other.
What aren’t you telling me, Vandyl?
Silver knew me entire too well.
I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck before answering, She was pregnant. I don’t know if anyone knew, I sure in fuck didn’t. I’m guessing the killer ripped the womb out along with the rest.
How many have been around her, and who?
Silver never beat around the bush. We had a dead wolf, and a motive, it was time to name the suspects.
Two… Oryn…and DarkLaw,
I reluctantly answered.
I could almost see the exact moment when Silver’s blood began to boil. We all knew DarkLaw had a thing Isumi, even though he’d being mated to Silver’s longtime friend Anastasia. We also knew that Isumi couldn’t stand DarkLaw.
Anything else?
Silver asked almost warily.
I nodded, Yeah, she was raped. There’s trace scents of cum all over her.
There you had it; we knew
