Home
There was a lot of activity last night and even more this morning. I did not quite understand, but Daddy and Mommy were running from one room to another, grabbing pieces of clothing and taking them back to the room.
It was really early. On a normal day, they would wake up two hours later, but today was an exception. They got up early and immediately started rushing around.
When they had collected all the clothes they were looking for, the activity died down. They then had their showers and started getting dressed for the day.
Today was different in other ways, too. Daddy was dressed much more formally than usual. Mommy dressed as usual for work.
As they sat down to breakfast, I could just sense that something big was happening, but I would not know what it was until it happened or until Daddy or Mommy told me.
Daddy always spoke to me before he left the apartment, even if it was to go down for a pack of cigarettes. He would always tell me to look after the house, to be good and to not be afraid if it rained as he would come back soon.
Breakfast seemed to be taking forever. Daddy had prepared my breakfast while Mommy prepared theirs. Daddy had served me mine before they sat at the table. I was done in a jiffy, but
