About this ebook

It had turned out to be a hot one this early in the spring. John Calm was out cutting the grass, picking weeds and keeping his one-acre lot as nice as possible. Today he was perspiring heavily. He did this every weekend, as his wife Ester thought the kids needed their weekend so they could do better in school. John had grown tired of his wife, and the thought of a divorce came more often these days. But John loved his house, his kids and the garden. He could pack a bag and leave, and be done with it. But John couldn't think of losing the kids or the house, but he needed a divorce. As John was going through his options, he thought about the pills Ester takes every day, what could it be? Something she could die from? One evening down at the pub, John met the guy that owned the local garage. John sat down at his table and started to talk about cars, then he asked what could happen if you drive a car with bad brakes? Ah, you are thinking of your wife's car. Yes, John, they need a new set of brakes. But if you drive carefully and don't put too much pressure on the brakes they could hold for another month. But John, if she puts any pressure on the brake, they might fail. One day John got severe pain in his chest, and his doctor, doctor Graf told him to take one nitroglycerin pill and put it under his tongue, do not swallow the pill. Ester asked if they could afford to have the house painted? Only if it can be done when I leave for Seattle in a week. With a happy smile, Ester said there should be no problems. John thought it sounded funny, so he contacted his attorney Cray Bright, that promised to take care of Johns problems. Everything sounded good, until something he hadn't thought about happened, and ruined his day.

It was a hot day in early May down in central Florida. The hot weather had arrived early this year, to get temperatures close to the nineties this early in the season was, to say it in a nice way, by no means a common occurrence. However, the flowers were blooming, and natures looked as pleasant as you could imagine. Unfortunately for John Calm, he had to spend most of the weekend moving the lawn, weed whacking, getting rid of weeds, and generally trying his best to keep his property looking its best.

John Calm, after finishing this tiresome work late on Sunday afternoon. Sat himself down in the shade of some trees he had at the back of the property. His shirt wet of perspiration, but he loved the smell of the newly cut grass, and he loved all the different colors of the flowers in his garden. He extremely carefully opened a bottle of beer, this bottle, the house, and his two children where the eye stones of John Calm. Sitting there enjoying his beer, his closest neighbor, a government employee named Bert, that employed some Latin people to do the work in his own yard. Asked if John had another beer, as his own had run out.

Sorry Bert, John answered. I am almost out myself, I have only one more bottle in the cooler and that one I am saving for dinner tonight.

Why do you bother with all those bushes? asked Bert looking at all the work John had done throughout the weekend, and every weekend. "And that large garden you have? It is going to kill you one of these days. You are up in the upper fifties John, and the way you work every weekend; it
