About this ebook

At the end of the religious war, that almost was the end of humanity several tribes were still holding out. Among them were Ron Drake, Jack, Alan, and Diana. The four had set out to cross the Great Divide, that almost cut the country in half. Diana was born in a city on the other side, and her three friends had promised to help her to get there. When walking along, they came to an old campsite with several huts. Getting closer, a door opened in the first hut and an old man came out with a shotgun in his hands. "Nothing here for you people, just move along."
We have been walking all day and need a place to rest our legs, said Ron smiling at the old man. The old man pointed farther down and added. The blue hut yonder would be right for you." As he said this he let his shotgun resting on the ground. Jack that was hidden from the old man by Ron, took his gun and shot the old man.
"Why in all hell would you do that?" Screamed Ron and hit Jack across his face. "We are going down to the blue hut, find a shovel and bury the old man." with those words the other three went to the blue hut. Jack found a shovel and was starting to dig in the ground when he heard a noise. Turning around he saw a large dog going for his throat. Jack died and here started the adventures for the other three friends and a dog.

Twenty years after the end of the religious war between the two major religions, which had almost ended humanity. The survivors tried their best to continue as normal a life as possible, without any kind of religion.

As the sun was going down past the green hills of this village. Ron and his three friends, Alan, Jack and Diana, looked behind the forest edge. Of the few people still living here, among the shacks that were all that was left of the village, there was no one to be seen. Ron Drake leading this group of four people were heading past the Great Divider, which cut the country in half. Ron, thirty-five years old, big and strong with blue eyes, and a short cut blond hair, was as usual dressed in his dark gray trench coat, blue jeans, and his heavy well-worn boots. Now he was carefully looking at these shacks in front of them. Looks like a hurricane has past here, he said as he took his group up towards the closest shack. Be careful when you thread on the ground. There could be nails, or other sharp items that can hurt your feet, and if those nails are old and rusty, you could get a bad infection.

Coming to within two hundred feet of the closest shack, a door opened, and an elderly man with a shotgun came out, and said. That’s far enough people. There is nothing for the lot of you to get from here.

We need only a place to rest for the night, answered Ron as he looked at the shotgun, and holding both his hands up so this elderly man could see they were empty. "We are heading to the other side of the Great Divider, and we need
