I graduated in 1969 with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University. My employment has included OSU as well as Hewlett Packard. My main hobby and pastime is creative writing. As a creative writer, I like to look at the world of words and physics from new points of view, hoping to discover a pathway not yet taken. I have, for over 60 years, maintained that, once you figure out how the brain works, then you will have captured the essence of the entire universe. This reasoning is simple, considering that the brain is the pinnacle of nature's creations, thus it must be important enough to be worthy of examination.

Advanced Mind Reading - Brad G. Berman
Introduction
Reading your own
mind is a skill you have been practicing since birth. Within these pages, you will begin to realize you have also been reading the mind of others, as you will discover the Mind
is a universal resource we all tap into hundreds of times per day. Furthermore, you will be learning where the mind is located, of what the mind is made, and how the brain is connecting into the mind.
Mind reading is all about discriminating between thoughts that are yours
(Internal) and the thoughts that are not (External). The focus of this book will be about capturing and decoding those External
threads of thought. In order to begin telling the differences, you will be analyzing the streams of ideas that pass through your consciousness by day and night. Then you will be amazed when you discover that many of your thoughts are not your own, they are coming from other sources. In addition to detecting others' thoughts, mind reading will also allow you to travel within the mind, to go across time and to mind travel to other places in the space and time (spacetime) domain. You will also discover the huge role that time and timing play in the structure of the mind and how thoughts passing through the brain are being decoded.
Mind reading is an art form that requires a good understanding of where thoughts and dreams come from and how they are constructed. Just knowing where and what the mind is and how it works will greatly facilitate your reading adventures. While some people have dedicated their entire lives to meditation and study of the mind, the ideas within Advanced Mind Reading are presented in a form for those of us who do not have a great deal of extra time. This book is for those of us who are willing to take that time to discover then investigate these subtle features of thought and mind. Your surroundings, thoughts, and experiences are all the tools you will need to become a mind reader.
Who is going to find advanced mind reading an easy task?
Anyone who is able to control their flow of thoughts
Those of us who have a prolific imagination
Those of us who can tell the differences between their personal Internal
thoughts and the sought-after External
thoughts
Anyone who is open-minded
Anyone who can accept that the mind is everywhere
Finally, the word mind
will be capitalized now and then in order to give the Mind the respect it has long been due. First, a little teaser:
A prism reveals the spectrum of colors hidden within light, just as the brain reveals all the colors of thought hidden within the Mind

Where is the mind? (Basic)
It has always been taken on faith that mind does indeed exist from the fact that our brain experiences dreams, external thoughts and premonitions, and given that mind is a key ingredient in religion and philosophy. This situation is best stated in the famous saying of Rene Descartes: I think, therefore I am
.
The definition of Mind can be found in the dictionary as: that feature of the brain we recognize as consciousness. As you will soon discover, the Mind is a lot more than just the properties of awareness and consciousness. It is everywhere, everything has it in common, it belongs to all of us, and it can never be taxed.
The following statements are expressions of the Occam's Razor Principle
, or the Principle of Parsimony
that states: The simplest solution to a problem is most likely the correct, most natural one
:
The foundation that underlies reality must be very simple, otherwise the universe would have fallen apart billions of years ago
There must be an organizing principle that is configuring reality, otherwise there would be no structure, and nobody here to recognize it
Time, energy, gravity, electromagnetic fields and the mind are invisible; perhaps they are just different aspects of a single property
There is no more obvious place to look for the Mind than in the invisible space that surrounds us
For the sake of simplicity (ignoring dark matter), consider that the universe is around 1% atoms and 99% invisible space. For this reason, it should not be too difficult to figure out where the mind may be hiding. It certainly is not inside the atom, nor is it simply an artifact of the brain.
Time is an essential part of our atomic universe; otherwise, it would be difficult to explain all the changes going on around us. In deference to good old Occam and in order to place the fourth dimension in the scheme of things, consider the entirety of invisible space
to instead be a structure that contains the entire future and past. Following this logic, we should be able to dispense with our preformed concept of empty space
. Instead, imagine that the material world is swimming around in an invisible ocean of all time.
The fact is, over 100 years ago scientists recognized this situation by renaming space
to spacetime
, because they realized that space and time cannot be separated from one another, for the same reason spices cannot be removed from the stew. [1]. Therefore, for the remainder of Advanced Mind Reading, it will be given a temporary new name: timespace
.
Timespace
is the volume of all time that has ever been and ever will be, existing as an invisible structure in which the brain is immersed
By current definition, Mind is the source of our streams of thought, being played out in time. Thus, timespace is most likely the hiding place of the Mind, flowing through the brain like light through a prism, like air through a gigantic pipe organ, or as if a wind gently blowing through trillions of wind chimes, thus resulting in our conscious thoughts.
In conclusion, where is the Mind?
It lies hidden in invisible space, not in the material atoms of the brain
Space is coiled-up time that has herein been named timespace
Timespace and the mind are exactly the same thing
