Excerpts:
"In front of her, down at the bottom of the stairs, she saw what looked like a small demon.....

The figure then seemed to gently glide farther away into the shadows of the undergrowth at the back of the garden as if hiding itself...

It was when the scratching sounds started that he called someone in again..."

“I have a man here with me in spirit who would like to warn you about that motorbike that you have. He is showing me that you will have an accident, so be careful. He is young, this man, and he is wearing motorcycle gear. He passed some time ago, though,” said the medium.

The lights flickered a bit and the footsteps resumed. The stairs creaked as something slowly and purposefully came down the stairs. With each creak, each sigh and each little noise, one of us would jump.

To his utter horror, he realized that it was a human skull as he watched it rolling away into the undergrowth.

As he sat there, he began to feel the tombstone move underneath him.

    About The Author

    Introduction

Ghosts, poltergeists, haunted clothing, haunted paintings, demons and the scary unexplained. In My Haunted Life, I recounted a number of stories of the strange and rather bizarre things that have happened to me in my life and they included all of the above. I then left readers with several questions about the nature of reality. Had I brought these events into my reality simply by believing in them?

The thing is, though, it isn’t just me who experiences such weird paranormal phenomena, is it? A quick look over the news headlines for any random day will invariably include strange tales of ghosts, poltergeists, strange sightings, demons, possession, black-eyed kids and even more bizarre stories. It seems that the fear of the unknown, the strange, the dark and downright bizarre, is something that afflicts most of us. So, when we are alone at night in a spooky house after watching a scary movie, are we more susceptible to experiencing something paranormal?

It’s interesting to note how a small child sees things. Many children have strange experiences, unseen friends and so on. As a child, the world seemed to be magical to me, but not in the way that all kids think the world magical when very young. No, I mean my world really was magical as evidenced by the dreams that I had and all of the strange things that I experienced. By the age of eleven or twelve, I was reading voraciously. While I will admit to the odd Enid Blyton book, most of the books that I read were by people like Madame Blavatsky, Denis Wheatley and—I am pretty sure—Czech magician, Franz Bardon. I even started attending a group at the local Methodist Church called the Church for Spiritual and Psychical Research at the age of twelve. There wasn’t a soul there under fifty-five except for me.

I have continued to investigate the paranormal and the occult. Of course, many things have changed since I was a boy; the Internet, quantum physics, science... It’s easier these days to gain access to both information and to people. Easier to discuss, talk about and yes – write about it. But when I was a six- or seven-year-old, I just knew things. I didn’t get this understanding from
