About this ebook
Requiem For Eden - Season 1: Episode 4. Enter The Dragon
A Bitesize 1-hour read following our young Knights of Eden.
The archangel Gabriel and the young knights protecting The Lady Bony Ass and her unborn baby have survived the tornado and the flood, and now look forward to a nice little stroll across The Purple Plain to the fort. If only life was this simple.
Things continue to look up, look rosy, seem to be taking a turn for the better when they team up with a band of Bedouins who seem to want to help.
But another sunny picture becomes dark, as always.
Nobody is prepared for the sudden appearance of Satan’s servant, The Red Dragon, determined to steal Lady Amara and her unborn child.
Gabriel knows this beast and knows her for what she is. Evil and malevolent beyond imagining.
If they survive another hour, it will be a miracle, and everyone knows miracles are a myth.

Enter the Dragon
Woe pointed at the fifty riders approaching across the hills. They look like bad men to me.
He looked at Anella and then at Gabriel. But I could be wrong. They could be out on a stag night or, err… a bit of a ride in the nice fresh air.
Even to him it sounded less than plausible.
They’re Bedouins,
Gabriel said, without any apparent interest. He dismounted and slapped his horse’s flank to send it trotting off to a small sand of wind-blown thorn bushes for lunch. Once he was sure he was settled in nicely, he turned and walked to the bottom of the long slope, stood in the dense shade of a single, magnificent acacia tree and drew his broadsword from its scabbard across his back, rested it on his shoulder and stood statue-still watching the men approaching along the hillcrest.
Woe and Anella watched him for several long seconds while they waited for some action, then dismounted slowly when he appeared to have nodded off.
Perhaps it’s a secret ploy,
Woe said. You know, to lull them into a false sense of security.
Lull who?
Anella asked.
Well, them,
he said, pointing at a spot off to his left.
She looked up the hill at the Bedouins spreading out in a line across the top. Oh, them.
She looked back at her brother. The knight. They don’t seem very lulled to me.
Anella pointed at Gabriel still standing in the shade of the tree. Go and ask him what we should do.
You go and ask him,
Woe said.
Go on, he’ll listen to you.
Why?
He stared at her. Why would he listen to me?
Well, you’re a man.
If that was supposed to flatter him into action, then she clearly hadn’t heard that flattery will get you no—
Woe puffed out his chest and strode over to Gabriel. A few moments later he returned, looking up the hill and frowning.
What?
Anella said.
Woe nodded towards Gabriel. He says he’s identifying.
What?
She saw the puzzled look. Identifying what?
Which one is their leader.
What for? Is he going up to talk to him. To explain that we’re friendly people on a mission of peace?
He shook his head and turned to her. He says when he’s done identifying, he’s going to go up there and smite him. This, he says, will demoralize them and they’ll run away.
He didn’t sound convinced.
She looked up at the hilltop, at the fifty Bedouins sitting their horses and camels and brandishing long, curved swords. Well, they weren’t actually brandishing their swords, they were still in their silk loops at
