      Introduction

      Everybody remembers their first love or being in love at any point in their lives. The rush you feel when it sidelines you out of nowhere, the pain you feel when letting go. This unconventional love story all began in college, yet the memory of it all will last my lifetime. It’s not your typical love story, but sit back and enjoy the ride. Everyone’s story is different this is mine.

      The question of why I’m here is still the same,

      And the sea of answers still remains.

      I know what attached me to you like cancer,

      But how and why, I still don’t have an answer.

      I’m laying here thinking damn,

      Here I am yet again, lying in your arms and you’re still not my man.

      We’re living this subliminal life as I fall asleep in your arms,

      Still skeptical at the level at which you can harm.

      I awake and you’re still asleep next to me, I’m looking, trying to figure out if I can give you my heart to keep.
