Russ Cohen is an accomplished writer for sportsology.com, Beckett hockey, and CSNPhilly, as well as the author of several hockey titles. Mike del Tufo covered the Flyers for 17 years, writing and reporting for several publications including Center Ice Hockey magazine. Joe del Tufo is a professional photographer based in the Philadelphia area who has covered the Flyers for over a decade.

THE LINDROS ERA
Eric Lindros suited up in the orange and black for the first time in October 1992. Lindros quickly established himself as a dominating force and turn the Flyers into a Stanley Cup contender by his third season with the team. He was named captain of the team in September 1994. Lindros led the team to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1995 and 2000 and to the Stanley Cup Final in 1997.
In terms of individual achievements, Lindros claimed the Lester B. Pearson Trophy in 1995 and the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league’s most valuable player that same season. He was also named to the NHL All-Star team on six occasions (1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000) as well as the Flyers’ MVP on four occasions (1994, 1995, 1996, and 1999).
Lindros’s tenure with the team was very memorable and exciting. These Flyers’ squads always seemed to be right on the cusp of winning a
