      A Burning Desire For Hudson

      Synopsis: A Burning Desire For Hudson, is about a woman on her way to a new job, when she stops and helps a New York night club manager place a new sign in his bar; one which she sees through the open doorway. He offers her a job and she reluctantly accepts, not knowing what it will lead to.

      As she stood in front of Charles and Hudson, her eyes turned to Hudson. Damn, I wish his eyes weren’t like x-ray vision, running through my body. Is he scanning me? she thought, as she tried to set-up the white board in the meeting room. Ava had kept her dark hair up in a spiral bun to stop any distractions. She was nervous and wanted to look perfect and give the best presentation, all of her hopes and aspirations were relying on today.

      Ava had come to New York thirteen months ago to escape the stigma that had cast a dark cloud on her life. She was bright; she took to studying and working like a duck to water. She was all set to go to college and her dad had drunk away her college fund. Ava’s mom had spent years saving to make sure she went to college. The day she was due to start, the truth was revealed and she found out she could no longer go to the one place that she had set her heart on.

      Her best friend Ivy, dropped her like a sack of potatoes when it was clear that her soon to be husband, Ben had a vested interest in Ava, and not Ivy. Her deep blue eyes and dark hair were classed as an exotic beauty that no man ever escaped and her friends hated her for it. Her luscious lips and hips drove men wild. It had got her in trouble so many times, which resulted in a law-suit against Ben when he tried to seduce her whilst working late in the office.

      She dropped the lawsuit just to save her friendship and to prevent all her friends hating her. It never worked, Ben had more than once kissed her in the office and as much as
