1 - What’s It All About?
As with just about any diet or eating plan, the 5:2’s fundamentals are simple to understand and quick to explain. But it’s the details that make it highly successful. I’m going to give you the bird’s eye view
in this chapter but you need to know a few more details to make it work for you.
How might I describe a low-carbohydrate diet in one sentence?
I might say:
Increase the amount of fats and proteins you consume and get rid of all the starchy carbohydrates.
Even though that’s right, there are so many details about a low-carb diet that separate success from failure that the single sentence description, if anything, does you more harm than good. So I want you to understand that you need more fundamentals
