About this ebook

A German king from the southern reaches of the Black Forest dreams of conquering Rome, and ending their oppressive reign upon him and his people. To do this, he allies with tribes and nations far from his own, and strike at a small Roman backwater just south of the border forts that line Germania.

From Jerusalem, a small group of Hebrew and Ethiopian pilgrims receive proclamations from their prophet to travel north, to the lands of barbarians, to find a man that will lead them to a new home far to the east.

From the steppes, the Huns have arisen, and they destroy everything and everyone in their path. The Eastern Roman Empire pays them tribute, the Western Roman Empire lives in fear of them, and the tribes of people in between are either forced out of their homes or slaughtered.

A Roman soldier and his wife have arrived in a new town in the northern lands, hoping for a peaceful life. The they are told that the primary enemies here are the occasional German raids, and severe boredom.

And in the town of Agrippina, a small Roman backwater, they all collide. From there the Germans, Hebrews, Romans, and Huns fight each other for dominance and survival over the war-torn Mediterranean. Will the German king have his freedom? Will the Hebrews find their prophesied leader? Will the Roman couple survive the onslaught? Or will the Huns obliterate them all?

I am a veteran-turned-trucker. I was born in Tucson, lived there for roughly 6 months before traveling damn near everywhere due to one of my parents being in the military. I decided to join the Army for a variety of reasons, one being that having money to go to college is awesome. I joined the trucking industry to be able to thoroughly engage in my love of traveling and get paid to do it.
