      PREFACE

      Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!

      (James 3:5)

      In this simple passage of scripture, James lifts for us that, what causes many to do or not do; accomplish great things or nothing at all; be at peace with themselves or live a life of misery and regret...rest in the power of their tongue. Meaning, the words that one speaks!

      The mistake that many make, in regard to conversations, expressing themselves, arguments or discussions, is that, they underestimate the power and potency of the tongue’s (words) influence, because of its size (...a little member...). However, it has the ability to change or turn the course of an individual’s day, desire or even their destiny by the words that come out of their mouth.

      Look also at ships: Although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.

      (James 3:4)

      What you plan to do or be; where you plan to go or hope to accomplish can be either pushed into possibility or aborted before its attempted...simply by the power of your speech! You will either affirm what God has spoken over your life or assassinate what was supposed to happen by the words that you speak!

      ...whoever says....and does not doubt...but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

      (Mark 11:23)

      Your words are ‘self-fulfilling’ prophecies that create pictures and scenarios that go into one’s future and cause to materialize what has been verbalized!

      Remember this, Beloved...

      - We are created in the image of God

      So God created man in His own image;...

      (Genesis 1:27)

      - Whatever God wanted to see, He said

      Then God said, let there be light;...and God saw the light...

      (Genesis 1:3, 4)

      He gave that same authority to Adam

      ...The Lord God formed every beast...and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.

      (Genesis 2:19)

      Like God, your words create your world. Whatever He declared out of His mouth, He saw it with His eyes. This book, Daily Confessions For Impacting Your World, gives practical steps on how you can transform both your life and your desired goals through the power of your confession.
