5 "Living Captivatingly In Love Ever After" Stars for the story and narration!*Please note this is the 3rd and last book in the Twist Me Series, and the below review may contain spoilers for the prior books. If you haven't yet started this fantastic series, please see my review for Twist Me, book 1 in the series. What a fitting conclusion to this addicting dark romance trilogy that tells the tale of a ruthless and powerful arms dealer and his captive! Listening to the progression from solely obsession to undying love between this unlikely couple has been mesmerizing and passion-filled. Moreover, the constant danger and suspense angle has added a whole other level of intrigue, and in some cases justification, for the hero's uber alpha hero, unparalleled possessiveness. But as if the story is not enough to compel you to listen to this amazing dark romance trilogy, the narration is also top-rate making this a must listen for the dark romance audiobook enthusiast!Book 3, Hold Me, picks up where book 2 (Keep Me) leaves off. Julian is recovering from his physical scars from being held captive and Nora from her emotional scars. It is amid this backdrop the couple learns of a life altering circumstance which is sure to completely change their future together. Although they each approach this revelation with different perspectives, hopes and fears, Hold Me gives us a glimpse of what a HEA for master/captive relationship might look like. Amid this personal game changer, Nora and Julian again finds themselves dealing with bad guys. We also learn of an interesting situation that will form the basis for the spin-off series: Capture Me. Namely we get some insight into Lucas, one of Julian's higher up private security handlers, and the traitor who has caught his eye: Yulia Tzakova. For those of you who read or listened to the prior books, Yulia is the Russian Interpreter who sets up Julian which leads to him being captured in Book 2, Keep Me.Roberto Scarlato and Shirl Rae return as dual narrators giving us a natural division between the chapters between Julian's perspective and Nora's. I loved how these narrators maintained the consistency of the various characters voices from the prior book making it easy to fall back in to listening to this next adventure in Hold Me. Moreover, each does a great job of creating personality appropriate voices for each of the characters helping the listener envision the characters that Ms. Zaires has penned. All in all, Hold Me does a great job of giving us a glimpse into what a HEA between Julian and Nora would entail, while at the same time whetting our appetite and desire for the Capture Me spin-off series. I can't wait to continue experiencing the right and wrong boundary pushing erotic and intrigue filled world that Ms. Zaires has created in Capture Me!Source: Review copy provided in exchange for an honest review.
