      Love Spells - Raven Willow

      Introduction

      LOVE SPELLS ARE ONE of the most popular, and most controversial, types of magic in modern witchcraft. This guide will help you navigate the waters of love magic, and give you spells to try for all aspects of your love life.

      I’ve included many spells here, most of which follow a fairly simple format and include a chant of some kind to help focus your energies. It’s important to note that just because I have used certain words in the chants, doesn’t mean that you can’t change them. Making a spell more personal to you is only going to make it more powerful. So, if you think one of my rhyming chants is cheesy- go ahead and have some fun making your own! If you think the chant I have included captures what you are trying to achieve, then use it.

      Spells are a personal thing so feel free to modify them to suit you. If you’re just not feeling a particular spell, it won’t work no matter how precisely you perform it. If you are fully motivated and focused on a spell, it won’t matter so much if you forget an ingredient or substitute something, the spell will still work.

      If you do want to tailor your spells, the list of correspondences later in the book will help you in choosing suitable ingredients to substitute with.

      Preparing yourself

      START BY TAKING A WARM bath or shower. While you wash away the day, imagine that the water is also washing away all of the day’s worries. Close your eyes and imagine that the water is surrounded by a bright aura of light. As it washes over you, imagine you are absorbing the light and it is cleansing you from within, pushing away any doubts, insecurities and worries.

      When your bath or shower is over, dry yourself gently and if you like, apply a scented body lotion or oil. Aromatherapy oil blends are a good choice, as you can choose one complementary to your spell. Rose and Jasmine oils are particularly good for preparing for love spells. Dress in loose, clean clothing. Avoid anything tight fitting that might be uncomfortable and distract you during the spell.

      Preparing your sacred space

      IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to cast a Circle whenever you are going to cast a spell. The Circle creates a sacred
