Synopsis: Two boyhood friends grow apart after one inherits a house and ranch and becomes an alcoholic. When one of them gets married his wife seeks out a mail order bride for the friend and corresponds with her. Things turn out very differently when she arrives and meets her husband to be.
Back in 1860 in Texas, there were two boys who didn’t have a care in the world except each other. Their names were Billy and Herbert. They were neighbors and best friends. Their parents were best friends also, which helped make sure that they got to see each other frequently. They both walked to school together that year. They were five years old and loved to laugh, play pranks, get dirty and do all of the things that normal five-year-old boys love to do.

This meant he still got all of his attention.
Suddenly, when Herbert’s attention was divided, Billy didn’t like it. So, he tried to make Elizabeth his girl. He tried spending time with her, talked to her and did all the things that had gotten him all of girlfriends that he had gotten so far. Nothing worked. In fact, it made her despise him.
She did, however, really like his friend. She thought he was cute. She began talking with Herbert, much to his surprise. Billy watched the girl he tried to get with, slip away. She now wanted to be with his best friend and left him out. He became angrier by the day. This was the first knick in their friendship. This was the time that Bill received his nickname, Wild Bill.
He became rebellious and destructive around town because he missed his friend and didn’t know how to cope with it. He began to hang with a crowd of kids that enjoyed causing trouble and for a few months, it looked
