Wisdom and Wit, a Picture Book of Quotable Quotes
()
About this ebook
Every day some humor needs to come into our lives to relieve some of the daily stress. Utilizing the adage 'a picture is worth a thousand words,' each quote is accompanied by one or more graphical images to add depth and emotion to the quotes. The intention of this book is to hopefully bring a little chuckle to the reader. Perhaps you might find a touch of familiarity in your own life in some of these quotes. Partially at the heart of these pages is finding humor in our own lives and perhaps even laughing at ourselves.
Arthur Brooks, Jr
Arthur Brooks is a father of four with twelve grandchildren. The author spent thirty-nine years and seven months as a university administrator before retiring in 2006. He was first introduced to computing in 1967, spending nearly all of his employment in computing, the last twenty-seven years as a director of administrative Information Technology. Arthur began writing his ‘home spun’ quotes in 1986 for his college age daughter, a collection of quotes that now exceeds 350. At the suggestion of his oldest granddaughter, in 2013 he began writing the stories he had told his grandchildren over the years. This effort prompted the author to be a STRONG promoter of not just TELLING our children of our experiences, but recording them for reading later. In addition, he has written about his deceased father as well as his own experiences in the computing arena. None of these have been published to date.
