Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

    - From a headstone in Ireland

BY THE LATE 70’s, the murder rate in the City of Angels had reached an all-time high, due to a number of serial killers at large. The Hillside Stranglers had been arrested for a rash of murders from 1977-1978, an unknown killer was targeting men on Skid Row, and since 1972 someone had killed and dumped over 40 young men along the highway just south of the city. Numerous other slayers remained unidentified and were at large.
