About the Author
Douglas Clegg is the award-winning and bestselling author of horror, gothic, fantasy, thriller and suspense fiction. He wrote Dark of the Eye while exploring the southwest, and California in particular -- and wondering what went on in some of those small towns just inland from the coast. He was also inspired slightly by a case of a mother who kidnapped her own child -- and then Clegg veered off into crazy fiction territory.

His fiction has won the Bram Stoker Award, the International Horror Guild Award, and the Shocker Award.
