    Chapter 1

Monarch carried Phantom into the bedroom with her. Scarlet’s eyes grew large and she placed a hand on her face. Tears immediately sprung in her eyes. She had never seen anything this heartbreaking. His wings were badly battered, the cartilage in his wings broken in many places. His body was a mass of black and blue, open wounds and broken bones. She knew that he would never survive this.

Since they were combined, she could feel his mind numbing pain overcoming her body. She had never experienced pain that strong, that intense and she knew without a doubt that her Phantom would leave her. There was no possible way he could survive this. She laid her Phantoms head on her lap and saw tears glinting in his eyes.

What happened Phantom? she asked, staring at the area under his eyes that was a mass of black bruises. She stared into his gorgeous nearly black eyes, eyes she would miss so much.

Phantom felt guilt and heartbreak overwhelm his entire body. He was the reason his Queen would be all alone and this filled him with despair. He could feel her massive heartbreak at the thought of losing him. His Queen had always been his number one priority. He valued her life over his. She was the reason he had taken on a dozen zombies. He wanted revenge for the harm they brought upon his queen. The results had been disastrous.

He thought back to the day he had met his fate, his Queen, a day he would never forget. He would carry it with him to the grave and beyond and his only hope was that she would be able to join him in death eventually. He knew that their combined energies would make being without each other unbearable and excruciatingly painful.

    The Fates Collide

Selene had just lost her lover, James, to the zombies. After she witnessed his death, she fled like a deer from the hunter to escape with her life intact. She sped through Nome Alaska faster than a speeding jet. Nearing an abounded arcade, she had no idea that her fate, the love of her life waited behind the dilapidated door. She pushed the squeaky door open, and stood just inside the entrance.

The instant her eyes adjusted to the darkness, she noticed several people with weapons raised to her face. Three of them were convincingly dressed as zombies. Their bodies were a dirty brown color and blood dripped from their lips. They revealed to her that they were spies and soldiers attempting to rid the earth of zombies.

Lucy, the only woman dressed as a zombie, was in charge of the spies. Red, who of course sported red hair, was in charge of the soldiers. They also happened to be married. Lucy towered over her husband who was very short.
