About this ebook
Before starting her own house cleaning business, Christine had read many books and articles on house cleaning tips and approaches recommending long-term contracts, giving free estimates, and using toxic chemicals. These means were costly, inefficient, and bad for the environment. Christine will provide you with another perspective. You can apply these step-by-step instructions and methods even if you have a full-time life.
If you follow her recommendations, you will not waste precious time and money by trial and error. Christine has listed all of the products she personally uses. Best of all, with her unique customer service approach, it will enable you to see your earnings increase, year after year. You will not need to reinvent the wheel. Practice does make perfect when you know exactly what to practice. You will learn how to clean any surface in every room. You will be the professional clients call for advice and house cleaning.
Included in this blueprint is how to find your own niche to set you apart from your competitors, how to choose your service area, calculations on setting your cleaning fees and formulas for job estimating, creating custom services, detailed lists of suggested equipment, supplies, and green products. As a special bonus, Christine has included a spreadsheet which will help in job scheduling, keep track of clients, record your income and expenses, and manage your wait list!

8 SUMMARY OF MY BLUEPRINT: To Success!
INTRODUCTION: Clean Sweep
I want to teach you how to start a successful, residential house cleaning business using green
products. If you have always wanted to operate your own company, then you have found the right book. You will gain a good understanding of what it takes to get AND keep your own clients. I will divulge my blueprint to a prosperous house cleaning business throughout this book.
Before starting my own business, I had read many books and articles on house cleaning tips and approaches recommending long-term contracts, giving free estimates, and using toxic chemicals. These means were costly, inefficient, and bad for the environment. I will provide you with another perspective. You can apply my step-by-step instructions and methods even if you have a full-time life.
If you follow my recommendations, you will not waste precious time and money by trial and error. I have listed all of the products I personally use. Best of all, my unique customer service approach will enable you to see your earnings increase, year after year. You will not need to reinvent the wheel. Practice does make perfect when you know exactly what to practice. You will learn how to clean any surface in every room. You will be the professional clients call for advice and house cleaning.
Green Products
There is not a shortage of recipes on how to mix up your own concoction of natural ingredients for cleaning purposes. Products don’t need to consist of creating your own lab at home to come up with natural alternatives. I, too, have tried these approaches — who hasn’t sprinkled baking soda on their carpets to subdue smells?
For professional house cleaning, however, you will need to educate yourself as to what terms like green
, eco-friendly
biodegradable
and natural
really mean. I have found a handful of manufacturers who committed themselves to producing high-quality green products.
Let’s Talk Money
I only work two days a week providing maintenance house cleaning. On Fridays and Saturdays I net an average of $400 for both days. I receive between $5 and $15 in tips, per job. I schedule initial deep cleaning appointments on Sundays and holidays. I make smart decisions by requiring a two-hour minimum per maintenance job; and three-hours for deep cleanings.
My maintenance schedule is always 100 percent full even though I do not require a written contract. I treat clients the way I would want a house cleaner to treat me, in a courteous and respectful manner. Once I receive a referral, I make sure I thank my clients. I am happy with my success, and extremely proud of how well I have done. I want the same for you.
Learn as Much as You Can
Unfortunately, if you do not take the time to read and follow my recommendations, you will not be able to succeed as I have promised. You may want to skip ahead to the end of this book where I summarize my blueprint which spells out unsurpassable customer service and my business philosophy. DON’T SKIP AHEAD.
Take the time to read every chapter. I will make it as entertaining as possible without oversimplifying or leaving out details you need to do an exemplary job. Every chapter has been carefully crafted to convey critical elements to succeed.
Feeling of Success
I want you to know what it feels like when your clients praise you, tip you, and can’t wait for your return to their home. I hear these comments on a regular basis: You are a lifesaver!
; Now I get to spend the weekend with my children, instead of spending time cleaning the house!
; It always smells so good after you clean!
and my favorite: We love you!
You too will experience this love from your clients. All you need to do now is read this
