Chapter 1

Death and Life

The present somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean…At that very moment Bullet came face-to-face with Sapphire as she rounded a metal corridor of the massive ship. Both gaze into each other’s eyes for what Bullet felt is an eternity. Sapphire had left the planning room. She had slowly been making her way to the medical area of the ship as she is bleeding from her treated wound. Sapphire connects into Bullet’s soul for a few moments before voicing. I’ve experienced you once before like this Bullet. Walk with me. Let’s talk. Bullet follows Sapphire through twisting metal hallways without uttering a word. Bullet wondering Am I that transparent about my problem? As a sniper…as Tina calls me, angel of death… I can’t be this easy to read emotionally. Is it that Sapphire is that good in knowing me? Whichever the case, it seems like destiny I would run into her just as I was building up my nerve to leave the team; to leave without telling her or anyone. Sapphire’s intense stare into me unsettling. As if she went deep inside me to draw out my dark secret turmoil. She’s slowing down. She’s opening a metal door. She’s motioning me to go inside the room with her. Nice place. I wonder…I’ll take this comfortable chair. She’s sitting. Her wound is bleeding. Here goes nothing.

Sapphire opens the conversation, Tell me about your latest dreams! Bullet’s whole body goes tense. Which was so unlike her then she retreats into a quiet surrender. Lowering her stare to the wooden floor of the ship’s cabin. Bringing her head back up to lock onto Sapphire’s eyes. Sapphire strongly challenges. Bullet, tell me about your dreams! I’m sure your nightmares of the snake are back…

Bullet recalling what had happened earlier to get her to this juncture of turmoil with her nightmares of the snake. Bullet remembers when Sapphire had beached the large rubber skiff to the south-east area of the island…

The past, Monica’s Bahamas Island. Sapphire beaches the large Combat Rubber Raiding skiff to the Southeast area of the island. Monica is the first to jump out of the large rubber skiff onto the white sandy beach of her island. Looking back at everyone Monica says. Welcome to my paradise. Let the meeting venture begin.

Jacqueline is trudging through the sand to catch up to Monica her Mother till she nears her. I didn’t know you owned this island. At the briefing on the ship, I had cringed a little when informed that an island you owned in the Bahamas was going to be used for the meeting with Lance and Talon. I had figured you had offered the island where Charles and I had spent our honeymoon for this meeting. I was envisioning the honeymoon beautiful setting filled with gun fire and explosions with nothing left of it after both sides bombed it to ashes. I can say I’m relieved it’s not the same one.

Monica eying her daughter responds, I own several of these islands. I just have not gotten around to developing this one. The rest of the team joins Monica and Jacqueline in their kicking up of the white sand as the make their way to the deadly meeting up with Lance and Talon.

Jacqueline looks at the rest who are walking to the meeting. She notices the somber mood of her husband Charles, of her best friend Tina, and of the legendary Sapphire. We have not said much to each other since the briefing. We certainly said less on our way over here in the skiff. I’m sure there are major worries how this meeting is going to turn out. Even though we have done our best in negotiations and preparations, there are so many unknowns.

My step uncles are incredibly dangerous astute men. I know they have the resources to have recruited just as competent if not more vicious team for this meeting. How could they not? Their righteous vindication is at stake according to their views. This meeting is their opportunity to meet at least two of the major criteria for redemption. One, to personally face us before they kill us. Two, all of us, except maybe Sapphire, are on their top list to eliminate. Well, even Sapphire is on that list since I’m sure they are aware of her abilities to lead an operation that can be a danger to their world-wide plans of conquest. I still can’t fathom their way of thinking to where they are risking coming to a meeting they know is a trap. How blind with vengeance they must be to still attempt this meeting. It is their drive to such extremes that Charles and I conversed how dangerous today’s meeting would be.

We both agreed that some of us may die at this meeting. We even broached the unthinkable. That it could be one or the both of us who would not survive. We cried between the both of us recounting how much each of us loved and meant to each other. We talked of the immense pain it would be to go through life without the other. We reached a point in our conversation to prepare ourselves for being with God. We were seated at the foot of our bed during our deep conversation about the strong possibility of facing death. In our conversations, we reached enlightment for preparing ourselves to be with God. We tenderly kissed. We comforted each other by embracing each other in silence for several moments. We instinctively separated. We held each other’s hand and we prayed. We prayed for God to forgive our sins. We prayed that we would be worthy of His glorious presence if called to be with Him from the meeting with my step uncles. We prayed for the lives and souls of Mother, Tina, and Sapphire. We prayed for the lives and souls of Kyle, Bullet, and those who may engage the evil men in battle. We finished our prayers. We wiped away sorrow from each other’s face. We caressed each other’s faces. We did very deep soulful gazing into each other’s eyes. We felt prepared to meet our Maker. We rose in silence after our serious touching moment. Went through our night routines.

Jacqueline smiles as she recalls her intimate moment with Charles. Charles and me continuing to treasure each other’s touch of one another. Our cloths melted away from our bodies till we made our way to bed naked. We laid side-by-side. I on my back. Charles on his side. Charles positioning himself where I could grasp his ever-growing penis with one hand while caressing his face with the other. We gaze into each other’s eyes. Kissing each other tenderly…loving…sweetly. Charles caressing my body lovingly. I treasure his loving touch. I treasure our closeness. I treasure our love for each other. I stimulated his penis with my clitoris and vaginal lips till his penis was covered with my vaginal juices. I rose. Charles lays on his back. I straddled on top of him; grabbed his penis; slid him inside me. Our bodies joined intimately. I lay my body on his on top of his. My chin resting on his chest gazing into his eyes. He gazes in return lovingly. I lay my head to the side to listen to his heart. We gently rocked our bodies in love making. Charles tenderly and lovingly caressing my back…my ribs…my neck; running his hands through my hair; kissing the top of my head. I caress his chest…his face…running my fingers through his hair with one hand while caressing his ribs and hip with the other. Our bodies were joined as one. We continued our love making until we had our fill of each other as this may be our last time together. We did not go for hot sex orgasms. With bodies joined, we renewed our vows given before God in our nakedness. What God has joined let no man separate. Till death do us part. I removed myself from on top of Charles. We slipped under the covers. We positioned our bodies close to each other. We looked into each other’s eyes with much love. Lovingly kissed. We embraced each other and fell asleep.

Wait, there’s my step uncles with their security up ahead. Jacqueline faces Monica. Mother, I thought they were much taller. They look nothing like the physical fitness of their deceased brother Richard.

Monica looking at Lance and Talon responds to Jacqueline, You were younger since you last saw them. They would have seemed tall to you. They were younger and leaner also. I agree about their looks. They have let themselves go. Presently, their looks are very different from Richard. Charles taps Jacqueline on the other side lightly.

Jacqueline leans over to listen to Charles’ whispered communication. I am having difficulty picturing these two round-faced…round-bodied…jovial-looking men as dangerous criminal masterminds capable of killing; capable of orchestrating world domination and punishment.

Jacqueline leans to Charles ear and whispers in return, Trust me Charles. They have the same venomous charm as Richard and just as deadly.

Monica is on the right side of Jacqueline and the left side of Sapphire as they near Lance, Talon, and their security standing there waiting for them.

Tina walks on Sapphire’s on the other side. Tina had been silently praying since they disembarked from the skiff. Well heavenly Father. I gave myself to you completely last night. Thank you for your loving kindness in offering me peace during my time of high-strung nerves. I truly believe you have forgiven my sins. I feel ready to be received by you loving Father if this is my time. I thank you for the life you have given me. I thank you for the experiences you have allowed me. Thank you for allowing me the insight that the experiences with Sapphire and Kyle would not have occurred without my willing to sacrifice for my friend Jacqueline. Thank you, heavenly Father, for the wonderful, loving, parents you gifted in my life. Thank you for my sister and brother. Maybe I go too far with my sister and brother. I thank you that I had time to talk to them before today. May my family be under your grace and peace during this meeting. If they have not already prayed to you, I lift up everyone here in prayer for their souls if it is their time to be with you. I lift up the soul of your amazing daughter in Christ Sapphire. I lift up to you your amazing son in Christ, Kyle. Thank you, dear loving God. Amen.

Tina is suddenly brought out of her prayer state by a firm squeeze of her arm. She turns toward Sapphire who is holding her arm. Sapphire states to Tina, Thank you Tina for praying for us.

Tina with a surprised puzzled face. Sapphire voices, No, I’m not a mind reader. You were softly speaking out loud like you tend to do. Tina turns a little shade of red and continues to walk forward flipping up white sand.

Sapphire gives Tina one more affirming squeeze on her shoulder as they continue forward, Sapphire had also been in prayer till she overheard Tina. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for affirming my prayer through your daughter in Christ Tina. Thank you for the affirmation of your message through Tina. I was having trouble believing you dear Lord could forgive my transgressions of all these years. The things I have done and contemplated in doing. I was having trouble believing I was worthy enough to be accepted into your kingdom. Thank you for reminding me that I will never be worthy. That you are very merciful and loving in having another pray for my soul. I am content with your will.

Tina leans over and softly voices to Sapphire. Do you think my angel of death is watching over us right now?

Connecting with sincerity in her face with Tina, Sapphire whispers. I’m definitely sure your angel is watching over us. Tina smiles slightly and carries herself more upright. As they are nearing Lance and Talon with their two security personnel. Monica with her group make a stand for themselves squarely in front of Lance and his group to wait for the meeting to begin. Lance and Talon seems to be patiently waiting for something to happen as they stare forward without unlocking their gaze on Monica and her group staring at them.

Monica leans over to Jacqueline and whispers. There are many things in my life that I am not proud of. Some things that I have done were evil. I will have to pay for this evil dearly someday. Maybe that someday is right now. I want to say to you Jacqueline that you are one of my proudest experiences in life. I want you to know that even though I have failed you many times as a Mother, I have always loved and cherished you the best way I am capable. I just wanted you to know that.

Jacqueline with a low soft whisper. Thank you, Mother. I love you.

Monica and Jacqueline go back to staring at Lance, Talon, and their security.

Jacqueline converses within herself not knowing what else to communicate with her Mother. Now, at the eve of our potential death. Now is when I receive a heartfelt Mother to daughter talk about love. I pray for Mother’s soul dear God. I know what she has done in the past has broken many of your sacred commandments. I do plea for her soul. Thank you, dear God.

The awaited dreaded meeting is at hand. Monica and those with her stand in front of Lance and Talon who had a security person on each side of them. It had been agreed upon to follow Sapphire and Kyle’s strategy to allow the brothers to open the conversation. Monica being selected as the only one to respond to Lance and Talon. Each of the parties eyeing each other cautiously until Lance speaks. It’ been awhile Monica.

Monica, It sure has Lance. How’s the wife and six kids are doing? Lance visibly angry at Monica knowing about his other two children from his mistresses. He quickly regains his composure.

Speaking of family. Lance eyeing in a jovial manner next to Monica, Jacqueline you have grown into a striking young woman. Jaqueline only stares in silence.

The good looking young man next to you must be Charles your husband. Charles, I do admire what your family has done with their shipping business. Now Charles. Did I say something to upset you? Your clenching of your fists is not merited. I am only espousing my admiration of your family’s shipping industry. Jacqueline touches Charles gently on his back calming his distress at understanding the meaning of Lance’s comment as a barely hidden message to take over Charles’ family’s business. Charles puts in his ear piece to listen to classical music while still being able to partially hear what is going on.

Lance scans the group then settles on another, Tina, Jacqueline’s best friend. You have been a surprise for us. We never figured you capable of accomplishing what you have. I’m impressed. I’m also impressed by your family’s heritage and wealth. You must be proud to belong to such a proud and rich family. Tina through prayer had been able to reach a place of reserved control. She did not respond to Lance’s method of trying to get a reaction from her.

Turning his wolfish stare to another, You must be Sapphire. Quite an amazing person you are. I have brought someone from your past. I have found him exemplary in his resolve to serve God and carry out God’s will. I will let him take the floor. Lance gestures to one of his security men to do something.

The security man steps out some and states while staring intensely at Sapphire, You have not changed much Sapphire. In fact, I did not think possible you could look any better since so long ago. Yet, here you are looking more stunning than I remember you.

Sapphire is racing through her mental lists. Going through persons in my life. Trying to remember who would fit the physique and character of this man. A person who would join the likes of Lance and Talon at this level to kill us.

The security man continues after a brief pause of getting himself together. I may look a little different to you now. I have been very well taken care of. I found my calling. My purpose in life. Being here at this moment. At this meeting with you present. It’s destiny. It’s God verifying that I was meant to serve Him here at this moment.

Sapphire still struggling to remember anything about this man speaking to her. He’s somewhat familiar. He would have to be someone who I strongly made an enemy. Oh, I have so many enemies. Someone who would seek God in the manner Lance and Talon seek God. Gota keep thinking. Gota keep going through my memories how this man is tied to me. His role at this meeting with me is a clue. Lance and Talon operate on the personal punishment level. Which reminds me. Come on wind! Cooperate! Bullet can’t take the shots!

The security man looks back at Lance, who motions the security person to return to his side. As the man of security returns to Lance’s side, Lance states, Well this reunion is going nicely even for those who are not part of the family. I’m going to reach into my pocket slowly to draw out some documents and a pen. I will do it slowly as to not alarm any one present, especially you Sapphire. He reaches into his pocket slowly and withdraws some documents. He reaches in again, slowly retrieving a very large expensive looking writing instrument. "I know it’s a long shot. But, I gota give it a try. These are documents for you Monica and you Jacqueline to sign giving us rights to your wealth for, well, you know… etcetera… etcetera. You get the picture. I will clip the pen to the documents and lay them on the sand right here.

Lance did so, he looks up at Monica and Sapphire as he comes up from laying the items on the white sand. We will move away so you can have some privacy to read over the documents and discuss its contents among yourselves. Whether you sign them or not. Have Sapphire motion us when you reach a decision. I will send my security to retrieve the document. Agreed?

Monica responds Agreed.

Lance, Talon, and their security persons moved far enough away enough to allow Monica and those with her their own discussion in privacy. Monica began with quietly conversing about what had just unfolded. They know Jacqueline and I will not sign. I see this as a tactic leading to something else.

Sapphire voices. I agree with Monica. There is something else at play here that I’m missing.

Tina offers. That security guy has some personal connection with you Sapphire. He is somehow linked to carry out something against all of us at this meeting. Any luck in the memory department?

Sapphire responds. None at this time.

Charles interjects How come we haven’t seen any action yet from either team.

Monica states. There is something behind the scenes that is being played out as we speak. I say we not give them any more time to allow them to put in place what they are up to.

Sapphire voices. Our team can’t act because the conditions are not prime. I agree with Monica not to give them any more time.

Monica and Sapphire with their group end with their discussion huddle. Sapphire waves her arm in the air. Lance sends the security person who had been introduced to Sapphire to retrieve the documents. Lance, his brother, and the other security person are moving slowly away back to their skiff.

Sapphire racing through her thoughts. Come on Bullet take the shots. They will be too far away to kill them. There is something I’m missing in all this. I know something is going down soon. What it is I can’t figure it out. Lance purposefully introducing me to his security. There is something personal operating. It’s tied somehow to this security person approaching us. Nothing yet. He’s right here.

The security person stands in front of Sapphire with his arm out and his open hand palm up. Sapphire retrieves the documents and pen from Monica. Sapphire hands the security man the documents. He keeps his arm extended with documents in hand.

Security angrily voices. The pen please. It’s important I retrieve it.

Sapphire responds Sure. It’s not like I was going to use it to sign legal documents against someone. The security man’s face distorts in anger and disgust all at once as Sapphire deposits the pen into his hands. A memory of that look floods back to her about this man. A memory from high school.

Just as he was about to click the pen. Sapphire rage filled yells, Butch! You will never be forgiven for the horrible things you have done to women!!! There is a slight pause of evil-anger directed at Sapphire. In the next instant, a bullet shot is heard as Butch flies back several feet before his whole body explodes sending an explosive shock wave filled with shrapnel and body parts onto Monica and the others with her. The explosion is immediately followed by a wave of bullet fire. Monica recovering quickly and getting up from the initial explosion, throwing herself in front of Jacqueline’s body to take several rounds of gun fire. Before they go down, Sapphire hears another bullet shot not from Lance or Talon’s men. Others on the team went down with blood pouring out of their bodies from the explosion and the machine gun fire.

Jacqueline is slowly regaining her faculties. The meeting with step uncles. The explosion from the security man. There was machinegun fire. Jacqueline forces her eyes open. She notices the beautiful blue sky. There is ringing in her ears from the explosion. She concludes she can’t hear sounds. She closes her eyes in pain as she forces herself to sit up, propping herself up with her arms behind her back. She takes a quick inventory of herself; badly bruised; no wounds bleeding profusely; no vital areas hit.

She moves her head to the left to where she last remembered Charles standing. Thank God Charles is alive! He’s on all fours shaking his head. Starting to recover. No observed vital areas hit; no wounds are evident; no major bleeding. He’s removing the ear plugs for his music. I wonder if he can hear?

Jacqueline scans her surroundings going back to the right. Her body shuddering at the memory of a man exploding in front of her. Jacqueline closes her eyes hard; shakes her head as if to regain focus; opens her eyes again, only this time, she notices a body in front of her. A woman’s body not moving. Mother!

Jacqueline scampers on all fours to her Mother’s body. Monica is face down on the sand. Jacqueline assesses the bullet wounds on her Mother’s back; turns her Mother’s body over to confirm what she believed. Massive bleeding. High probability of vital areas hit.

Jacqueline is startled out of her further medical assessment of Monica by a strong firm hand grasping on her shoulder. She looks up. It is Charles. He bends down. She could see his mouth move. She could not understand a word of what he is saying. Charles figures Jacqueline can’t hear him. He connects with Jacqueline’s eyes then Charles points to where he desired for Jacqueline to look. She directs her eyes to where he is pointing. Jacqueline’s heart stops as she sees Sapphire and Tina getting up with massive bleeding evident from the both of them. Charles motions Jacqueline to go over to them. Charles proceeds to pick Monica’s body up. He motions Jacqueline that he is heading toward the skiff. Jacqueline quickly scampers on all fours to where Sapphire and Tina were just about sitting up. She quickly assesses the both of them. Tina is holding her hand over a major gash in her right inside thigh bleeding out profusely. Jacqueline goes to Tina quickly first.

Jacqueline tears off quickly her own blouse, applies pressure to Tina’s gash with her blouse, inserts part of her blouse sleeve into the gash. Jacqueline briefly looking up to observe Tina grimacing in extreme pain with her mouth wide open, head back in what Jacqueline could only conclude is Tina screaming in pain. Jacqueline looking down at Tina’s thigh, relieved the bleeding is slowing. Jacqueline goes about lifting Tina’s thigh slightly while wrapping her blouse around Tina’s leg tightly to hold the sleeve in place to stop the bleeding. Then Jacqueline tying the blouse tightly around Tina’s thigh. Jacqueline leaves Tina and crawls quickly to assess Sapphire.

Sapphire has her hand pressed firmly against her right lower abdomen where much blood is pouring out between her fingers. Jacqueline quickly slips out of her bra; expertly moves under Sapphire’s hand to insert her bra deep into the wound until the bleeding stops. Jacqueline looking up briefly to observe Sapphire grimace in pain. Jacqueline positioning Sapphire’s hand back over the bra stopping the wound from bleeding anymore. Sapphire is brought up to her feet with Jacqueline’s help. Sapphire motions Jacqueline to go retrieve Tina. Sapphire stays leaning over precariously balancing herself as Jacqueline leaves her. Jacqueline finishes bringing Tina up when Sapphire joins her on the other side. Sapphire motions Jacqueline how to move all three of them forward quickly as possible.

Jacqueline, Sapphire, and Tina are almost to the skiff when Charles arrives to help carry the load from Jacqueline. He picks up Tina, quickly retreating to the skiff with Tina in his arms. Once at the skiff, Charles using his medical skills, places Tina flat on her back and elevates her wounded leg on the side of the skiff. He pushes the skiff out into the water after putting Tina in position. Jacqueline and Sapphire arrive just as Charles is coming out of the water away from the skiff.

Sapphire motions Charles to get into the skiff. Charles understands and proceeds with getting into the skiff and start up the powerful motor. Sapphire is aided into the water and into the skiff by Jacqueline. As soon as Sapphire is inside the skiff, Jacqueline dives in right next to her. Charles is ready to depart when all are inside the skiff. Jacqueline’s body could feel the strong vibrations of explosions going off on the island. She looks over to the island just as the explosions were closing in on their location. Charles is quickly navigating the skiff out into the open ocean. Sapphire points in a general direction for Charles to head out. He does so. Sapphire motions for Jacqueline to retrieve a heavy-duty bag inside the skiff. Jacqueline did and hands the bag over to Sapphire. Sapphire brings out of the bag a communication device; she proceeds to communicate their status and some instructions for meeting up with them the best she can without being able to hear what her voice sounds like. Jacqueline guesses Sapphire is under the same deafness as the rest of them because of her manner of constantly looking at the device and then speaking. Sapphire finishes her communication, closes the communication device; deposits the communication device back into the heavy-duty bag.

Sapphire motions for Jacqueline to look into the direction she is pointing. Jacqueline follows Sapphire’s pointing and sees Charles holding out his shirt for her to put on. Jacqueline carefully and slowly moves to the back of the skiff towards Charles. Just as she is about to reach him and accept his shirt, Jacqueline notices her Mother’s unmoving body. She scans her Mother’s body. Jacqueline assesses Charles had worked on Mother but to no success.

Jacqueline turns her gaze toward Charles’ and accepts from his outstretched arm his shirt. She proceeds to put on his shirt and button up only a few buttons then slowly and carefully move within the skiff to follow up on Tina and Sapphire’s conditions. Jacqueline assesses Tina and Sapphire to be stable at the moment. She is concerned that Tina and Sapphire will need medical attention in a relatively short time. Jacqueline hoping that whoever Sapphire had contacted would be arriving soon.

The past in the clear blue waters near the Bahamas. Bullet’s power boat is sustaining heavy damage in the exchange with Talon’s fleet. Her stepFather Felipe right there with her and the rest of the team. Felipe roaring loudly as he and others fire upon Talon’s boats dashing within ten feet of each other. Bullet’s powerboat cabin exploding all around her as they engage the enemy boats. Bullet maneuvering her team’s powerboat in between five of Talon’s Response-Boats Defender-Class. She had surmised by the way these Defender- Class boats had engaged her team that some of those in battle with them on Talon’s team must have Marine navigating training. She concentrates the attacks first on those boats that did not have the Marine driving them. Bullet switches navigation with Troy, another team member who had be vital in the Canada ocean battle as a decoy. Troy maneuvers their powerboat to the enemies’ boats Bullet had indicated. Their team exchanging weapon’s fire; sustaining several hits; not serious enough to stop them from advancing in their strategies of taking down the enemy boats. Troy and the Talon boats cleverly trying to out maneuver and out gun the other. Troy is finally in position to carry out a maneuver fashioned and trained by Bullet. He executes the maneuver expertly. They end up in the needed position. Bullet fires upon Talon’s boat with the armor piercing bullets from the .50 caliber machine gun. The bullets find their mark hitting the enemy’s boat engines. One boat is dead in the water. Now to take attack the other four boats.

Bullet’s team takes on the four enemy boats head on exchanging gun fire; sustaining several hits losing more pieces of their powerboat but, still able to maneuver in the ocean waters. Troy executes Bullet’s maneuver expertly. They end up in the needed position regarding their enemy boats. Bullet fires upon Talon’s boat with the armor piercing bullets from the .50 caliber machine gun. The bullets found their mark, hitting the engines; one more down. Talon’s two Marine navigated boats figure out what Bullet’s team strategy is all about. The two enemy Marine navigate their boats to flank on each side their weaker navigated boat. All three of the enemies’ boat heading full speed at Bullet and her team. Talon’s three boats inflicting heavy damage onto Bullet’s team powerboat. Troy’s maneuvering is brilliant as Bullet and their team is also able to inflict heavy damage onto the three Talon’s boats engaging them in battle. Bullet with deadly accuracy focusing on the weaker navigating boat inflicts heavy damage with her firing of the .50 caliber machine gun. This enemy boat ends up dead in the water. Troy quickly maneuvers for Bullet and their team to exchange weapons fire between two of Talon’s remaining boats. Troy does evasive maneuvers for Bullet’s team to continue with her strategy; taking more damage losing more of the power boat’s cabin. Felipe and the others of Bullet’s team inflicting boat damage and body causalities upon one of the enemy boats as they speed at an insane velocity within six feet of the enemy boat crashing ocean waves upon each other. Finally, Troy gets their team in position for speeding in between both of Talon’s boats to execute Bullet’s maneuver. It was tougher to get in place because of the expert handling by the Marines in Talon’s two boats.

Almost there. Almost. Almost. Bullet yells, "Now!!!! She takes deadly aim hitting her target. Felipe and the team hitting their targets. Both of Talon’s boats dead in the water. Troy maneuvers Bullet and their team around and pushes their heavily damaged powerboat full throttle to distance themselves from the dead-in-water Talon’s boats. Bullet commands Troy to head for Kyle’s last reported location. As they progressed to their location, Kyle had commanded his fleet to go full speed at taking on Talon’s ocean fleet.

Some of those with him advise Kyle the strategy is suicidal and reckless. With fire in his eyes, I don’t give a fuck what you think. Follow my orders shit head!!!

Kyle leading their fleet straight into Talon’s fleet. Talon and Kyle’s sides inflicting heavy damages upon each other. Kyle is in command of a TT-400TP gunboat mercilessly killing any of the enemy with vicious force. Bullet with her team join Kyle for the attack. First wave of attack leaves Talon’s smaller pursuit boats floating lifeless in the water with Kyle ensuring the disabled boats are blown out of the water. Kyle’s gunship still taking on heavy damage from Talon’s gunboat and other pursuit boats. Even with Bullet’s team running interference, damages and casualties are mounting for their own team. Bullet sets up her team with Kyle for a second wave of exchanging fire.

Kyle with Bullet hit hard many of the boats accompanying Talon’s gunboat. Talon’s boats are disabled as they employ Bullet’s tactics. Kyle making sure Talon’s disabled floating boats are blown out of the water. Kyle making sure his gunboat runs over swimming Talon’s men. Bullet’s team take out many of Talon’s forces. Talon’s gunboat closing in on Kyle raining heavy damage to Kyle’s gunboat. Kyle waits…waits...waits then fires the electronic disruption device at Talon’s gunboat. It misses the necessary targeted area of the gunboat. Talon’s team realizes what had been fired upon them. They immediately engaged in evasive maneuvers with protective fire power ensuing protecting the retreating Talon’s gunboat and the surviving boats. Kyle orders their badly damaged fleet to peruse.

Bullet is able to get a private connection to Kyle’s ear com. Kyle, stop!!! Sapphire would not have wanted you to do this!!! We have dead and injured persons that need attending. Don’t kill off what Sapphire worked so hard to put together!!! Kyle so much wants to pursue to destroy, so much to kill Talon and all his forces while sacrificing so many of his own fleet.

Kyle’s blood cools. I hear you Bullet. Kyle orders what was left of their fleet, Return to base. They had amassed major damages, dead, and injured. Kyle thinks to himself, Bullet is right about what Sapphire would have wanted. Besides, we can’t risk taking on any more dead or injured. Kyle’s orders are followed as what is left of their fleet returns to base. The rag-tag broken collection of gunships and boats limp to base.

Bullet is given a messaging device by one of the team members. She turns on the device; listens to the call. Something is very wrong. Sapphire does not sound right.

Bullet motions Troy that she is going to take over navigation. Troy immediately complies. Bullet takes control of the powerboat quickly adjusting their heading. Bullet contacts Kyle to update him.

Kyles surprised he gets another call from Bullet, Got a message from Sapphire. Something’s wrong. She doesn’t sound the same. I think she’s injured badly. I’m heading over with the powerboat to pick up the survivors with her from the coordinates given. I know at least one woman is dead. Could not make out which one, it’s not Sapphire.

Kyle, Thanks Bullet. May you get to them on time.

Bullet, Thanks, I’m out. Her communication ends with Kyle while Bullet speeds off in their heavily damaged power boat to the designated location for meeting up with Sapphire and her team.

Kyle angrily holding back his homicidal tendencies thinking about Sapphire the woman who he has strong feelings for may be dying. Tortuous thoughts going through Kyle, The only woman who has been able to tame my demons may be dying. The only woman who has been in my life all these years. I’m such a spineless shit. I never told her how I felt about her. She’s alive thank God. But, for how long? Kyle struggling in keeping his homicidal demons at bay from sacrificing his beat-up fleet by going after Talon while he waits to find out if Sapphire lives or dies.

After a while as Bullet is navigating the powerboat towards Sapphire’s location, she is feeling something wrong inside her. This was the first indication to Bullet that something major was wrong with her. Bullet did not feel when in battle; little less feel when something wrong was going on inside her. She shakes off the feelings of uneasiness as she spots a watercraft in the near distance. Bullet adjusts her heading to speed towards the watercraft she figures is Sapphire and her team.

Jacqueline begins to hear muffled sounds. My hearing is coming back. I can distinguish the skiff’s powerful motor. At the same time, Jacqueline catches a glimpse of a watercraft in the distance, closing in on their location quickly. As the watercraft nears, Jacqueline surmises. It’s a power boat. I can hear the guttural sound of power from the motors. It’s a good size, maybe forty to fifty feet. What are those designs on the side?

When the power boat is closer for Jacqueline to observe details. Those are not designs. Those are damages from the battle with Talon and his fleet. There’s a woman leaning over to receive us as we get closer. By her looks and remembering Tina’s description of her from the stories, I’d say this woman is Bullet. Yes, this is definitely Bullet. I can see Tina and Sapphire are joyful in recognizing her.

Charles tosses up to Bullet the skiff’s ropes. The powerboat’s engines had been powered down to an idle. The skiff is guided to the back of the powerboat for docking onto a platform where the injured and dead can be unloaded first. Sapphire is first one to be helped out by Bullet’s team onto the powerboat deck. Tina is the next one to be carried onboard. Sapphire motions the team to take Tina down into the cabin. The team comes back in record time after depositing Tina inside the cabin. The team is about to move Sapphire next into the cabin when she motions for Monica’s body to be next. The team removes Monica’s body from the skiff. They lay her lifeless body on the deck floor of powerboat. A boat canvass is brought by some of the team. Some of Bullet’s team proceed to cover Monica’s body then take her body down into the cabin. The team members who had helped carry Monica’s body into the cabin return for Sapphire. They proceed to carry Sapphire down into the cabin. Jacqueline and Charles follow down into the cabin those carrying Sapphire.

Bullet contacts Kyle, Sapphire is alive. But she and Tina will be needing medical attention soon when we get there. Jacqueline and Charles look alright but, I’m not a doctor. Monic is dead.

Kyles homicidal and destructive tendencies lower, I’m glad there are no more deaths than one on that team. I will inform the medical director of Sapphire, Tina’s and the team’s conditions. The medical director is swamped at this time, but, I will make sure Sapphire and the rest on her team are treated immediately. I appreciate all you did Bullet.

Bullet responds, It was all part of what I do. I’m also glad we didn’t lose more persons. I’ll make sure we don’t lose any more and get them there as fast as I can. Signing off. Their communication ends.

Kyle relieved to no end, Sapphire is alive!!! I’m hopeful that the woman who has been around my life for so many years will live; hopeful the woman who is able to tame my demons will live; hopeful I still have a chance to declare my love for her.

Sapphire and her team’s rubber skiff is released and left to drift in the ocean. Bullet motions to Troy to take over navigating of the powerboat. Troy full throttles the powerboat’s guttural power sounding motors as they lunged forward at a break neck speed heading back to base.

Jacqueline and Charles hold on to what is left of the cabin as the power boat lunges forward at break neck speed. Jacqueline and Charles go about medically assessing how Tina and Sapphire are doing. Jacqueline’s hearing has somewhat returned.

Jacqueline quickly goes over to assess Tina for Hypovolemic shock symptoms. No blue lips or fingernails. No profuse sweating. No shallow breathing. Jacqueline facing Tina, Any chest pain Tina? It is evident Tina could also hear at this time.

Jacqueline, You feel dizzy like you want to faint?

She’s tracking my questions and responding. That’s good. Jacqueline is not sure how much blood Tina has lost. She knew if Tina had lost or was losing more than 20 percent of her blood, organs in her body would begin to shut down. Since in the skiff, Charles had placed Tina flat on her back with her feet elevated about 12 inches to stop Hypovolemic shock from occurring. Jacqueline ensures the same laying down position and leg elevation for Tina is happening at this time again. She also covers Tina with a blanket to keep her warm. Jacqueline’s blouse wrapped around Tina’s leg is still doing its job of stopping the bleeding. Jacqueline finishes her assessment and faces Tina.
