About this ebook

Jamie Connor is a charming and sexy star college hockey player. He’s not the sort of man to be dazzled by someone who speaks in long mathematical formulas and worries about strategic thinking. At least, he wasn’t that sort of man until the college dean agrees to a scrimmage match with the nerds of the Blaine Strategic Institute, and Matt Blaine, son of the founder, captains the other side. In a sport where full body checks are a legitimate play, Jamie’s taken by surprise at just how much the King of Cool wants the King of Geeks.

Anna Butler

Anna was a communications specialist for many years, working in various UK government departments on everything from marketing employment schemes to organizing conferences for 10,000 civil servants to running an internal TV service. These days, though, she is writing full time. She lives in a quiet village tucked deep in the Nottinghamshire countryside with her husband. She’s supported there by the Deputy Editor, aka Molly the cockerpoo, who is assisted by the lovely Mavis, a Yorkie-Bichon cross with a bark several sizes larger than she is but no opinion whatsoever on the placement of semi-colons.

What a fun story! It's fast-moving, with high stakes between competing college hockey teams, and passion on and off the rink that ran high enough to smolder the pages. This is one of the most entertaining and outright funny stories about "the King of Cool" and "the King of Nerds" I have ever read.

Jamie is openly bi, the captain of the college hockey team, and believes himself to be the coolest thing since sliced bread. He also has a love for math, and some of the comments he makes, all worded in a math-y way, are hilarious. On top of all the physical coolness he is no slouch academically, so, really, who could possibly be a match for him?

Matt, that's who. It's a total shock for Jamie, but the captain of the opposing "nerd team" is amazingly good-looking, gives Jamie and his team a run for their money in the rink, and manages to make Jamie want to "compare Boleans" (a math thing, ahem) after the game. And when they do? The passion is as sizzlingly hot as the game was brutally tough.

If you like stories about men who seem to be polar opposites but turn out to have more than one thing in common, if you enjoy reading about rivalries in college (between both students and deans), and if you're looking for a fun, hot story that will have you laughing as you trying to catch your breath, then you will most probably like this story.
