Ashwini... A name quite famous among Kannada readers. Though she has written 15 novels and 2 short story collections, she is very well known for her novel Besuge. The poignant story line made readers wait for the next installment.

The novel was made into a successful movie. Totally 5 of her novels were made into movies. Her characters are very real and exist in our lives. The drama, the curiosity, the characterization and the incidents in her books stand out. Out of 15 novels 2 were translated from Telugu in which she was well versed. Even her short stories are felt as if they contain enough subject for novels.

ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ ಎಂದೊಡನೆ ಬೆಸುಗೆ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯ ನೆನಪಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದರ ಘಟನೆಗಳು, ಪಾತ್ರ ಪೋಷಣೆ, ವಾರದಿಂದ ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕುತೂಹಲ ಓದುಗರಿಗೆ ಸಂತಸ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು. ಅದು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಕೂಡಾ ಆಯಿತು. ಒಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಐದು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳು ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ಅವರು ಬರೆದ ಹದಿನೈದು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ತೆಲುಗು ಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ ಅನುವಾದಗೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಅವರ ಎರಡು ಕಥಾಸಂಕಲನಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ಕಥೆಗಳು ಕಾದಂಬರಿ ಆಗುವಷ್ಟೇ ಗಟ್ಟಿ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿವೆ.
