    Reminder From Jesus & Mary

Jesus and Mary would like to remind you that any document produced by Divine Truth containing any information from Jesus, Mary or any other person includes only a portion of God's Truth that they have personally discovered.

It does not and cannot contain the entire of God's Truth since God's Truth is infinite and humankind will forever continue to discover more of God's Truth as we progress in receiving more of God's Love.

Please remember that due to these limitations information contained within this document may need to be revised in the future.

Many other ebooks have been published by Divine Truth, including ebooks translated into a variety of different languages.

Mary: Welcome to our third session in the discussion of Cults. Now there are many reasons why people find it difficult on Earth today to trust that a person has good intentions and a pure heart; hopefully in this discussion, we'll highlight some of those things. A lot of the questions we're going to talk about today come from people who, after many years of listening to Divine Truth, still have doubts about what we teach and especially about the character of Jesus, who is with me here today to go through the questions. So, a lot of the questions you're going to hear are actually driven by fears - especially fears about religion and money - but we feel it's good to work through them and let you hear the answers. So I hope you enjoy our session.

Yes, and also a lot of these questions have been taken by people scouring the internet - I suppose you could say - looking for evidence of how you can recognise a cult and I find many of the questions quite amusing in a lot of ways because if you use these particular things as evidence to see a cult, then you'll probably see cults in pretty much everything in your daily life.

Mary: That's right, a lot of the questions are based upon checklists of different features of cults, and a lot of these features you will find in governments and in religions, even in some families.

In some families? In just about every family. (Laughs)

Mary: So it's interesting to explore. Certainly I don't think we agree that any of these features are loving, so if governments and families and religions all got rid of these features the world would definitely be a much better place.

    Wonderful.

Mary: But maybe we should go on and just go through the questions.

    Go through the questions.

    1. Do you tell people what to do?

Mary: One key warning sign for a cult is that they have a leader who tells everyone what to do. Do you tell people what to do?

Yes, and they never listen. (Laughs) No, no, it's not like that at all.
