Behind The Sound - gasasira jimmy

    Introduction

Since the dawn of humanity, music has been associated with men’s everyday activities. This wonderful art helped humans to express their emotions—sadness, happiness, anger, joy,etc... Beyond the physical world we live in, men always connected with the spiritual world, depending on a nation’s belief (e.g: Jews would connect with Yahweh with cymbals and tambourine; the Mayas would connect with Ah-Mun (god of agriculture) through drums.

In our days, music has become a tool to disseminate immorality and impurity among men. So called famous singers and entertainers, who are for many, a model or reference, use their God-given talent, to promote wickedness and therefore destroying innocent lives.

These men and women, in order to become rich and famous, are forced to make crappy deals with dark and unseen forces—selling their souls in exchange for money and temporal glory. These forces provide for them the inspiration they’re looking for, and therefore releasing successful records making them both very wealthy and famous.

Unfortunately, most of them end up bankrupt and finally die tragically —some end up committing suicide, others drug overdose, unexplainable heart attacks, painful and lingering diseases, etc... Music legends like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley, Whitney Houston and many others are typical proofs of their involvement with the dark world.

This material will cover the following: The origin of music, its impact on humans (both positively and negatively), music legends and their end, their links with the occult, testimonies from former artists and how to become free from that addiction.

I wish to mention that, in no way, I’m judging or condemning anybody because I’m not God, but I rather expose their evil deeds because this causes serious harm to innocent people.

I pray to God that you understand and may him really open your eyes, so that you be able to see.

Chapter 1. The origin of music

The word music originated from old French, from Latin word mūsica, from Greek mousikē (tekhnē), (art) belonging to the Muses from Mousa or Muse.

The Merriam Webster Dictionary gives the following definitions

Science or art of ordering tones or sound in succession, in combination and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity.

    An agreeable sound

    The Collins Dictionary

An art form consisting of sequences of sounds in time especially tones of definite pitch organized melodically, harmonically, rhythmically and according to tone color.

Any sequence of sounds perceived as pleasing and harmonious.

Music has always been part of men’s activities, this art is found is found in every race, every tribe, every nation, and every culture but may vary depending on the location.

To be honest, it’s very difficult to clearly determine its origin, but at least we can identify the period when musical instruments were mentioned for the first time; The Bible identifies Jubal, a brother to Lamech and descendent of Cain, son of Adam and Eve as the first musician for it is written Jubal is the father of all who play the flute and the harp. (Genesis 4:21)

Ancient kingdoms had their own music style and used it for different purposes like an enthronement, the birth of an heir, mourning, the king’s visit in a certain area, entertainment etc...

All these events were accompanied with musical instruments like trumpets, tambourines or any other musical instruments.

The human voice itself was a very good instrument, even before musical instruments appeared. The people could use their voices to sing, clapping their hands, knocking the ground with their feet just to create music. The Hebrews used music for different reasons also; some of the first songs recorded in the Bible were Miriam’s song who celebrated God’s power, drowning the Egyptians into the Red Sea.

The Hebrew music reached its golden age during the reign of King David, who was known as a talented musician, entered into Saul’s service to help him: David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better and the evil spirit sent by God would leave him. 1 Samuel 16:23

David can be named among the best artists of his era, especially for his work–the book of Psalms, in 73 chapters, David would express what was inside his heart: His love for God, his worries and despair and how he found the answer in God whom he called his refuge and his rock. He transferred the musical talent to his son Solomon, who succeeded him as king, wrote not only words of wisdom (Proverbs and Ecclesiastes) but also the famous Song of the songs where he expresses his love for a young woman.

The Aztecs (an ancient tribe whose location is the current Mexico where you can find some aspects of their civilization remaining like the Aztec Pyramids where they would practice human sacrifices) had music as a constant and important part of life. Not only was it used for enjoyment, but also for sharing and understanding of religion, of making an emotional connection with the events of life.

Many of the songs were called sacred hymns, commemorating the deed of a great ruler or gods. The cantares were those which connected humans with the spiritual realm and the participants would get in trance and dance for hours non-stop. The cantares were played during religious events like human sacrifices where innocent people would have their heart taken out while still alive.

The great legendary king Jamshid is credited with the invention of Persian music. Music in Iran can be traced back to the days of the Elamite Empire (2500-644 BC). Fragmentary documents from various periods of the country's history establish that the ancient Persians possessed an elaborate musical culture. The Sassanid period (AD 226-651) in particular, has left us ample evidence pointing to the existence of a lively musical life in Persia. The names of some important musicians such as Barbod, Nakissa and Ramtin, and titles of some of their works have survived

Music since then, developed really quickly throughout the ages–different musical instruments were created and with the frequent moves of men through centuries like the discovery of America, African slavery and other events that marked human history; people exchanged cultures giving birth to new musical genres like Rock and roll which is a combination of African-American music genre like Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Western Swing and Country. We also have Salsa which is a combination of Spanish canción, guitar and Afro- Cuban percussion, merged with North- American music styles such as Jazz.

Chapter 2. Music: Its impact on human

Everything that happen in life has an impact on someone, whether positive or negative— something either good or bad may happen to you and cause you to be happy or sad, joyful or bitter, lively or withdrawn. This is something true and undeniable.

    For example:

    -  When a child (boy or girl) has lived in a stable family, sees his/her parents loving and caring about each other, the child seeing this will grow and be a very nice kid. The impact will be positive.

    -  But when the child happen to life in a dysfunctional family –experiencing abuse from his parents whether physical, moral, emotional or sexual. The impact will be negative and this will affect him for the rest of his life.

Same thing with music, it may have a positive or negative impact. Greek philosopher Aristotle said: Music directly represents the passion of the soul. If one listens to the wrong kind of music, he will become the wrong kind of person. It also means that if someone listens to the right kind of music will become the right kind of person.

It is now obvious that we have two types of music: Good music inspired by God Himself who represents the good side and bad music inspired by Satan himself who represents the bad side. Each of them produces different impacts depending on which one you expose yourself to.

    2.1  Positive impact

The positive impact is when you expose yourself to a music whose inspiration comes directly from God. This kind of music is commonly known as Gospel music, Christian music, religious music or sometimes Praise and Worship.

I’d like to focus on the words Praise and Worship:

Praise: The Merriam Webster dictionary defines this word as follows

As a verb: 1.Expresses warm approval or admiration of

2.Expresses one's respect and gratitude towards (a deity), especially in song.

As a noun: 1.The expression of approval or admiration for someone or something.

2.The expression of respect and gratitude as an act of worship.

2.Worship: The Collins dictionary defines it as a reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage, or to any object regarded as sacred.

Now, I hope you understand that these two words are not about strong or quiet rhythm but rather as an act of reverence and gratitude towards God expressed in song.

If you take time and examine for yourself the lyrics– they are about hope, faith in God, God’s love towards humanity, personal experiences within the faith and so on and during the Praise and Worship in a church, in a concert; you see people crying, singing, kneeling down, having their hands lifted up, lying down on the floor because there’s a presence causing them to behave that way and the emotion is so intense and begin to speak words that normally they wouldn’t say and many of them do not realize it.

People like David, the second king of Israel understood that principle of thanking and giving reverence to God, that he ended up writing the book of Psalms which regroups the best declarations of love ever a man may tell to God and this inspired many Christian artists like Ron Kenoly, Don Moen, Mike Kalambay from DRC, Israel Houghton, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Exo from Canada and many other artists.

The people who listens to this kind of music are blessed—some find relief and restoration, others experiences another level of intimacy with God, some find the strength to move on even when times are tough and when they get together in his name God himself descends for he says: When two or three people are gathered in my name, I’m in their midst.

If you want to know the positive impact of this music, here some examples:

Jehoshaphat, King of Judah was ordered instead of defending themselves against their enemies, appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness saying: Give thanks to the Lord, His Love endures forever. Their enemies ended up killing each other. Jehoshaphat and his people took three days to collect the plunder. 2 Chronicles 20:20-25.

Paul and Silas when thrown in jail for preaching the good news of Jesus Christ began praying and singing hymns to God; suddenly there was a such violent earthquake that the foundation of the prison were shaken, the prison doors flew open and their chains came loose. Acts 15:25-26

Israel wanted to take Jericho which was surrounded by great and huge walls, marched around during six days and on the seventh day, they blew their trumpets and shouted in praise and the strong walls of Jericho fell down. Israel finally, took the city. Joshua 6:3,15-16

    2.2  Negative impact

The negative impact is when you expose yourself to the wrong kind of music whose inspiration comes straight from an evil source which is from the devil himself. This type of music is qualified by Christians as secular or worldly music and other calls it entertainment music or industrial music.

Industrial music is a music that draws on transgressive and provocative themes. Contrary to Christian music, this type of music praises everything contrary to morality ―exalting sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, hatred, suicide, homosexuality, Satanism, rebellion and other immoral and filthy things. Those who sing about such things are according to me Preachers of the devil’s gospel. They incite young men and women to indulge themselves into promiscuity, drug use, homosexuality, violence and therefore the society collapses.

We all know that experimenting sex at early age engenders undesired pregnancy, a high possibility of contracting sexual diseases like HIV/AIDS, abortion which may cause bareness even death sometimes. Drug use leads young people into depression and addiction, and parents have to spend huge amounts of money for detoxification; violence leading to murder and suicide sometimes; homosexuality which opens a free door to AIDS again, stopping the Godly principle of procreation and so on. The objective of this music is to destroy mankind leading them into perversion.

This music targets more the youth because they are easily influenced and when someone is under the influence of someone else or something, it is very simple to manipulate him making him do whatever you want him to do for you. Legend guitarist Jim Hendrix said: "I can explain everything better through music. You hypnotize people and when you get people at their weakest point, you can preach into their subconscious what we want to say. Exactly, like I said devil’s preachers".

Singers and musicians who sing this type of music are, themselves morally corrupted and what is shameful; is that they promote that and at the same time they deny saying It’s just for fun. A moral person cannot promote or encourage immorality. You give what you have because a parent cannot give to his child a stone if his child asks for bread.

For example, if you take hip-hop/rap music and listen to rappers like Tupac, Eminem, NWA(Niggaz With Attitude), 50 Cent and many others; you will remark that their songs are 100% about Sex, Drugs or Violence(Crime, police murder).

Eric Wright a.k.a Eazy-E, was as a member of the
