About this ebook

This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Jesus are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore five topics, from different verses in the book of Exodus. They are: Transformation, restoration, sacrifice- threefold wonders/impact of Christ; The blood; Protection, freedom and wealth through the blood of Jesus; Jesus: the bread from heaven; and The partition between the Holy Place and the Most Holy.
Excerpts:
Transformation, restoration, sacrifice- threefold wonders/impact of Christ
“His resurrection, as explained, has to do with our body, We are promised a resurrected body like him, because through faith we become part of him, as his body (Ephesians 1:22-23, 1John 3:2).”
The blood
“The blood of Jesus means we now have the favour of God directed at us instead of the wrath of God based on the judgement of the law or the errors of the flesh (Romans 5:8-11, 1Thessalonians 5:19). The blood of Jesus has been described as the blood that speaks (brings) better things than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). The blood of Christ draws us near God (Ephesians 2:13, Hebrews 7:19), makes it possible for us to come near to God and we approach Him not having judgement on us but the life of Jesus represented by the blood on us.
“We are clothed with the son and therefore become sons all because the blood was shed.”
Protection, freedom and wealth through the blood of Jesus
“Note that the only reason Jesus came to the earth was to shed his blood as the Lamb of God. If he didn’t shed his blood, his life would not be spiritually relevant to us. He would only be remembered in history, if at all as a wise man that performed miracles. He would not be called saviour, because his means of saving us was his blood, and losing his life on the cross.”
Jesus: the bread from heaven
“When Jesus affirmed that he is the bread of life from heaven, he said anyone who eats him would never die. He gives a new definition to the term death. He wants the people to see that death is beyond the cessation of breath. No wonder Paul said if only in this life we have hope, we of all men are most miserable (1Corinthians 15:19). What we have through Jesus Christ is eternal life; it is life beyond the limits of time and well beyond the reach of the devil (John 10:25-29). Our life is hid in Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).”
The partition between the Holy Place and the Most Holy
“It caused the spirit and soul to function as they should under God. With the spirit running the show imputing the life, dictating the pace to the soul, and that through the life of God via the word. The word of God, as it is said, builds up (Acts 20:32) meaning it causes things to function as designed, as it meant to.”
