    This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Spiritual Identity are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
    In this book, we explore six topics, from different verses in the books of Joshua and Judges. They are: Ark of the Covenant; Circumcision of the heart; The Lord is your inheritance; Inheritance; The Lord the Fighter; and Assurance.
    Excerpts: 
    Ark of the Covenant
    “Jesus told the Pharisees, you vigorously search the scriptures not knowing that they actually point to him. The only relevance of the old is how they point to Jesus, who founded the new covenant in his blood (Luke 22:20).”
    Circumcision of the heart
    “In Christ, because of the circumcision of our heart, our lot was changed. We are changed in the core of our being. We are made priests and kings (Revelation 5:10), made new creatures (2Corinthians 5:17), made partakers of the life of God.”
    The Lord is your inheritance
    “ ‘The Lord is your inheritance’ means you are among a special class of people whose primary possession is spiritual, in the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of (Eternal) Life (Romans 8:2) and the Spirit of Truth (that was what Jesus shed on us after he ascended on high [Acts 2:33]). The Holy Spirit brings you into all truth, and that truth makes you a different kind of person when interacting with the physical world, which is also your inheritance (Matthew 5:5) because the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof (Psalm 24:1).”
    Inheritance
    “Jesus said that we who are evil know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will the heavenly father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him (Luke 11:11-13)? He is yours for the asking. It is as simple as that.”
    The Lord the Fighter
    “Do not subscribe to a watered-down gospel, a not-so-pungent gospel that exists side-by-side with the various works of the devil, undermining the victory that you have in Christ Jesus over things other mortals struggle with. “Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9)” is not a mere cliché, it is because he fought for us and attained Lordship in all realms on our behalf (Ephesians 1:18-23, Philippians 2:9-11). He did the fighting for us and whatever we do in “fighting” is his continuing activity in us. Surely the Lord fights for us!”
    Assurance
    “What about assurance that you are doing the right job, or involved in the right spiritual service? The number one question is: do you feel a sense of grace or struggle (1Peter 4:10-11)? Spiritual service should be about God flowing through and not you trying to make things happen. The right job is that which appropriately channels of the gift of God resident in you.”
