About this ebook

This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of The Power of God are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore six topics, from different verses in the books of Luke and John. They are: The salvation of the Lord; Power and authority over all demons; Power to heal diseases; More than enough; ‘It would obey you’ and Resurrection.
Excerpts:
The salvation of the Lord
“That thought means that you underestimate the power of the blood of Jesus, to reach into you and change you in the core of your being, make you brand new.  God is not waiting for your self-effort to achieve his love in yourself, to make yourself love him. He want you give up the control of your life to him, and leave the issue of change to him and his Spirit, so that all the glory will be to him and none to you, for your salvation.”
Power and authority over all demons
“Jesus sent out 70 more disciples in chapter 10 apart from the twelve earlier sent in Luke chapter 9, they healed the sick and cast out devils from people in the name of Jesus, in his authority given to them.  And after they came back from the spiritual exercise of casting out demons and healing the sick all over the place, Jesus announced to them that he saw Satan fall from heaven. There was a dislodgment of Satan and his forces in the heavenly place, a weakening of his influence in those specific geographical areas.”
Power to heal diseases
“These represent the three dimensions of healing. Seek God for all of them; because, if you seek God you will find him (Jeremiah 29:13). You can seek God for faith healing, you firm up your faith on God’s word for you are only limited by your faith. This is so important for the church because God has design it to be the most common expression of healing from scriptural statistics, and prepares the ground for the other types of expression. Stepping out into healing by faith develops your spiritual muscles for when the heavy power dimension is released and spiritual flexibility for the instructed healing.”
More than enough
“He did not stand before the children of Israel presuming that God will answer (or even hoping God will answer) him because he had put him on the spot, he was not testing God, rather he was acting based on his word. And fire came from heaven to lick up the sacrifice that Elijah had set up, in a mighty display from the one who is more than enough.”
‘It would obey you’
“The bible says that life and death are in the power of the tongue and he who loves it will eat the fruit thereof (Proverbs 18:21). God would want us to be walking in the full realisation of the power of our tongue. James says it ought not to be that from the mouth would flow both cursing and blessing (James 3:5-12).”

Resurrection
“The resurrection was completed in the ascension which Jesus was talking about in the focus verse (John 20:17).In the ascension he paved a way for us to gain access to the father in the fullest, extent, just he has.”
