    Born in Cardiff in 1949, Ken Follett is a Welsh writer. After graduating in philosophy, he began a career as a journalist before deciding to write. He specializes in historical and spy novels. His most famous work is The Pillars of the Earth (1989), which was followed by World Without End (2007). His writing is supported by important historical documentation, which gives credibility to his fictions. With Fall of Giants (2010), Ken Follett introduced a trilogy based on the twentieth century.
