      Safe Sex 101: An Overview For Teens addresses abstinence, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, teen pregnancy, the sex organs, and includes additional useful resources (websites, organizations, books, hotlines). The personal testimonies or examples feel contrived and repetitive. The language is detailed and scientific but is easy to access, understand, and read. It is not dependent on medical or scientific jargon. More of the book is dedicated to abstinence and abstinence programs than the other topics. The book includes a fairly comprehensive glossary (oddly omits oral sex and sexual intercourse but includes anal sex and premarital sex). The photos included are black and white and seem a bit dated.
