Rachel Clay is a New Zealand author, who has lived in both New Zealand and Australia. She grew up on a farm, as part of a large blended family and attended the local school, Tapawera Area School. She discovered a love of reading at a young age and was known as a bookworm during her school years. She loves animals and has always had numerous pets of various sorts including pigeons, chooks, geese, rabbits, horses, cats, dogs, sheep and a naughty pig, who would let the chooks out of their run. She currently has two dogs and a cat.
