About this ebook
This fourth outing in the series McCoy’s Miracles is devoted to close up magic without playing cards.
Close-up magic or table magic is performed in an intimate setting usually no more than ten feet (three metres) from one's audience and is often performed while sitting at a table. Professional magicians also perform “mingling” close up magic or “walkaround” magic – which as you can guess – involves him/her moving amoung small groups.
People prefer close up magic – to any other form. The fact that is done “under their noses” and the fact that often they are involved gives it a viceral and even emotional component that other forms of magical entertainment can’t provide – or rather can’t provide as effectively.
This is high calibre material. It is not for the beginner. However I would hope that some beginners might give it a go. To any keen amateurs, semi professionals or professionals – this is material which you will like and use. It has been honed over many years. Mr McCoy has been a professional magician and mentalist for 25 years – on both sides of the Atlantic. He has worked with and for Hollywood celebrities, politicians, fortune 500 companies and thousands of private individuals.
As with all his publications – the student has a massive advantage in that EVERY ROUTINE HAS A LINK TO BOTH A VIDEO PERFORMANCE AND A VIDEO EXPLANATION. This makes things much more effective and interesting and in affect the buyer gets a free DVD .
So please be prepared to put in a little practice. This is world class material which Mr McCoy passes on for the first time. Most of all enjoy!

Very often in close up magic - sleight-of-hand, also known as prestidigitation (quick fingers
) or léger de main (Fr., lightness of hand
), is the set of techniques used by a close up magicians to manipulate objects such as balls. coins and playing cards secretly. In McCoy’s Miracles I II an III I teach some of my finest card magic creations. This volume deals with my non card creations.
People prefer close up magic – to any other form. The fact that is done under their noses
and the fact that often they are involved gives it a viceral and even emotional component that other forms of magical entertainment can’t provide – or rather can’t provide as effectively.
There are three coin routines – and a fourth coin routine involving mentalism. Mr McCoy’s False Transfer is one of the best in the business and he reveals it for the first time here. His routine Hi Ho Silver is something he has developed over a 20 year period and he uses it almost everytime he performs close up magic. It is the perfect close up piece which engages the audience at an amazing level.
The same can be said about his routine Sponge
– which is far more than a trick
. It is a series of magical effects involving sponge balls that leads to superb climax.
