Becoming - Nadia Janice Brown
Introductions
"When I was a small girl, I had a simple wish—to inspire strangers with my words. I never thought I would become a writer. In fact, I’m the opposite of what I think a writer and author should be! I’m fairly quiet. Shy. Private. Reserved; and I questioned if this was truly my calling. It wasn’t something I approached lightly. If I were going to call myself a poet writer, the title had to be earned. I had standards for my writings, and for what I wanted to achieve.
It’s easy to go through life without knowing your purpose and to fall into a trap of pursuing what sounds impressive. Instead of doing what you were born to do, you try to live someone else’s dream. But, you will not go far chasing dreams that were never yours!"

If only Phoenix stayed quiet.
If only you’d follow the North Star. Things
would be simple- days no longer would ruin
