About this ebook

Jesus said: "Pray this Way... [the Father's Kingdom] come, His will be done, On earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). Long have Christians struggled to do "good" so they could die and go to Heaven, thinking Heaven was some faraway place in the sky. Actually the Heaven they should be concerned about is the heaven that is coming on earth. It is here that God's will is to be done like it is already being done in Heaven. So called "heaven" is actually a spiritual place where God (God is a spirit, Jn 4:24) dwells. He desires a permanent spiritual house on the earth within which to dwell; that is in the Kingdom of God.

Man has been trying from the beginning to build God a house within which to dwell on earth. Moses built a tabernacle (or sacred tent) in the wilderness and an Ark of the Covenant for God to dwell within in the Holy of Holies in the tent. The sacred tent (Heb. mishkan, "the dwelling-place") is the movable tent-temple which Moses erected for the service of God, according to the "pattern" which God himself showed to him on the mount (Ex. 25:9; Heb. 8:5). Later Solomon built a magnificent temple for the Lord and on the day of its dedication the presence of the God was so prevalent that the priests could not stand to minister (1 Ki. 6-7; 2 Ch. 3-4). When that temple was destroyed by the Babylonian invasion it was rebuilt in the Days of Ezra and Nehemiah during Persian rule of Israel. However that temple was found to be inferior to the glory of Solomon's temple.

The next place temple was Herod's Temple built around 19 B.C. on the site of Solomon's temple. Herod was a Jew but ruled Israel on behalf of the Romans who occupied the country at that time. That temple was destroyed by Roman invasion in 70 A.D. No further physical temples have been built in Jerusalem to this day.

The Kingdom temple, in the Kingdom of God, will be a spiritual Temple made up of Christ and His Saints. St. Peter said, speaking to his churches scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia: "And [we the Saints] coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, YOU ALSO, AS LIVING STONES, ARE BEING BUILT UP AS A SPIRITUAL HOUSE FOR A HOLY PRIESTHOOD, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 2:4-6). The individuals constituting the churches were to be the building blocks of the new spiritual temple.

    Introduction

Jesus said: "Pray this Way… [the Father’s Kingdom] come, His will be done, On earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). Long have Christians struggled to do good so they could die and go to Heaven, thinking Heaven was some faraway place in the sky. Actually the Heaven they should be concerned about is the heaven that is coming on earth. It is here that God’s will is to be done like it is already being done in Heaven. So called heaven is actually a spiritual place where God (God is a spirit, Jn 4:24) dwells.

The sacred tent (Heb. mishkan, the dwelling-place) is the movable tent-temple which Moses erected for the service of God, according to the pattern which God himself showed to him on the mount (Ex. 25:9; Heb. However that temple was found to be inferior to the glory of Solomon’s temple.

The next place temple was Herod’s Temple built around 19 B.C. on the site of Solomon’s temple.

Paul confirmed this in a letter to the Corinthian church: FOR WE are the temple of the living God; just as God said, I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE" (2 Corinthians 6:16). And Paul said further: "Do you not know that YOU ARE A TEMPLE OF GOD and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16). Each of the Saints of God are living stones with which the New Temple will be constructed. This temple, comprised only of God and His Saints, will have an eternal glory which will exceed anything previously built on the earth because it will be a spiritual temple. The references to a 3rd temple in the scriptures are symbolic inferences to the New Spiritual Temple. That temple will fulfill Haggai’s promise that the glory of this temple will exceed anything that came before. The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, (Haggai 2:9).

With that in mind our striving should be to bring God’s Heavenly Kingdom to the earth. One great obstacle stands in the way--Satan, the god of this world. Paul said of Satan: "…the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God" (2 Co 4:4). Satan must be overcome and displaced before the Kingdom can come on this earth.

The Lord is at the right hand of the Father waiting for His enemies to be defeated and made a footstool for His feet (Hebrews 10:13; Psalm 110:1-3). Psalm 110 by David states in relevant part: "The Lord [the Father] says to my Lord [Christ]: Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet. The Lord will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, Rule in the midst of Your enemies. Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power [army]; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew" (v. 1-3). It is the Father who will defeat the enemies of Christ but through His volunteer army of Saints who are as numerous as the dew.

There are many things that need to be done in order to establish the Kingdom on this earth. One premier act is the speaking of the creative prophetic word of God. Just as God brought creation into existence from nothing by a Word (Gen 1) so we bring forth the Kingdom by a spoken word. There was a shift from prophecies that were predictive to prophecies that actually created and imparted. There is a new order coming in this restoration move of God’s Spirit; God is making His people a prophetic community! (see Chapter this Book-Creative Prophecy).

The Body of Christ world-wide must become one. Paul said: "There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all" (Eph 4:4-6). The day of the individual ministry is past. From here on the Body of Christ will minister in its diversity (see Chapter Oneness of the Body of Christ).

We must appropriate the victory Christ won on the cross. When Christ was crucified and resurrected He defeated Satan and provided all that was necessary for the kingdom of God to be manifest. That victory remains a potential and not a reality until the Body of Christ appropriates this victory and manifests it on the earth.

Christ’s victory mandates that the body of Christ becomes the army of the Lord (Ephesians 6; Joel 2). They will have the correct armor for fighting and the organization to be a disciplined army (see Chapter Army of the Lord).

Worship is essential in manifesting the Kingdom. The army of the Lord must be an army of worshipers. In the Kingdom Isaiah said: For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea (v. 11:9). The knowledge or presence of the Lord is the spirit of worship (see chapter Worship).

The "Violent [of spirit] take the Kingdom by force (Mt 11:12). See the chapter espousing this principle.

Also we must obtain the very Nature of Christ and do greater works than He did in order to manifest the kingdom (Rom 8:28-29; Jn 14:12). See the Chapter herein entitled We Must Have the Nature of Christ.

This Book contains many other keys to be used in manifesting the Kingdom of God on this earth such as: waiting on the Lord, defeating the flesh (Adamic) nature, persistence, seeking and asking the Lord, relating to the Father, hearing the voice of the Lord, being led by the Lord, rejecting condemnation, knowing who you are in the Lord, joy, perseverance and many more. This Book not only teaches how to walk with the Lord but how to be an over-comer in everything we do. Let the Book be a blessing to all in our common quest.

    Creative Prophecy

Hebrews 11:3 states: "By faith we understand that the worlds [ages] were prepared [framed] by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible". God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning out of nothing seen or perceived. Likewise a prophet or man moving in the gift of prophecy can speak the Word of God and create what is not yet seen. This principle is the foundation of producing the Kingdom of God on the earth. Called The Living Word it is described in Hebrews 4:12: "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart".
