Loved, very touching, but looks disjointed at times. Also there exist some editorial mistakes.

THE QUEST: WHERE IS SHE?

THE QUEST TURNS…

PARIS AND HOLLYWOOD

It was a hot afternoon in Paris. Saira had been engaged in conversation over the phone with Rufi who was still in Hollywood working on a film project of some controversial subject… It had been nearly four months that he left Paris.

When are you coming back? Saira asked.

I don’t know for sure. Things are expanding very fast… I will call you and tell you more details in a few days, Rufi said enthusiastically.

Roshan Mirza (Rufi) stepped out from Chandra’s apartment for his evening in town

Michael Dunn, the photographer whom he met on the flight to Los Angeles had given him a few tips about some hangouts in Beverly Hills. So now he was in a chic hangout called "BACKSTAGE". It was at 9433 Brighton Way in Beverly Hills - just in a side street along Rodeo Drive. At Backstage they had some band from Chicago playing that night. Roshan was having his good time - work and pleasure combined. I should explore here as many places as possible, he thought.

Next day he went to Café Rodeo at 360 North Rodeo Drive. Here he met Jonathan Gorman, a sociology student who was the manager here in the evening time. They became quite good friends. Jonathan was also engaged in writing. He was fond of reading. He recommended Roshan some very good books. They both debated a lot - almost on every subject under the earth… Roshan never expected that Beverly Hills could be an inspiration for thoughts.

Soon he discovered a very interesting place that actually turned out to be the most cozy and inspirational hangout. He had been looking for some place that had a Parisian-style atmosphere where he could do his writing work, relax, think and reflect. When he walked to the corner of Rodeo Drive and turned left on Little Santa Monica Boulevard, he saw a real cozy spot. He took a look from the outside and then stepped inside. It was designed and decorated in a casual style. Very comfortable sofas, little and larger corners surrounded by plants and bookshelves ... It was a Coffee-Cigar Lounge. Roshan warmly admired its taste and style. It was owned by the actor George Hamilton.

What would you like to drink? the young bar manager asked.

"A coffee, but small and pretty," said Roshan.

He was not a fan of large plastic glasses of coffee, usually served in Los Angeles cafés. Jason and his assistant Mike ran this place for George Hamilton.

Jason repeated the phrase happily, "coffee, small and pretty - I like it."

From this day onward, George Hamilton’s Coffee-Cigar Lounge became Roshan’s regular evening hangout. He did most of his writing work there. He met many interesting people who went there almost every evening. Orian, Eli, Brian, Shelley, Joseph Miller, two very pretty Lebanese girls Shideh & Golareh... They all became very friendly with each other. Joseph Miller was an Attorney at Law. His father was also a lawyer in Las Vegas. Joseph Miller was staying with one of his aunts in Beverly Hills, arranged by his father. His father had also provided him a car - but that was all. But the cash was also required to move the Miller 2nd’s engines. And so far
