    It was 1747 in Firenze and the world was just starting to open itself to me. I was thirty years of age and felt like there was so much to discover. My parents were wealthy and this made it possible for me to do as I pleased. They believed in hard work, so there were limits to just what I could do. I was trained as an architect and this allowed me to have more money to use as I pleased. Building was something I enjoyed and my hope was that I could leave my mark on the world. Never did I dream that I would be around to see it two hundred years later, but I get ahead of myself.
