Poems For A Winter's Night - C. D. Melley
Missing You
There is a distinct chill in the air My coffee cup is empty
And, the silence in the room Is deafening.
I think back to the last time we were together On that warm summer night
And, those memories Bring a warmth to my soul.
However, many months have gone Since those August moments
And, my bed has grown cold Without you lying beside me.
I still long for the day
When we’ll be together again Knowing how much
You complete me.
There is a hole in my heart Because I miss you, terribly
But, I’m still counting down the days Until we’re reunited again.
Polar Vortex
There is a bitter cold Gripping the continent
Temperatures are unseasonably low Everywhere you
