About this ebook
The inspiration behind this book came from the fight against terrorist cells in the Middle East. The United States Military forces discovered that they had to adapt their war strategy in order to be effective against these terrorists. Their adaptations in strategy proved to be massively successful and they can be applied to any organization. Especially today’s businesses and corporations.
The reason this book is called Team of Teams is because the strategy outlined in the book provides a way to turn an organization that consists of many different teams into one highly functioning team while still maintaining different departments. There are four different people who are primarily responsible for contributing to this book.
The first person is Dave Silverman who is a Naval Academy graduate, who later became a Navy Seal. The second contributor is Chris Fussell, who is also a Navy Seal. Tantum Collins was a student of leadership at Yale University when the author first met him. The primary author of this book is a man named Stanley McChrystal, who is a retired US Army General.

Chapter 1
Part one starts out with a tale told by the ancient Greeks. This story is about an enemy the Greeks faced during the Trojan War named Proteus. Proteus had the ability to change his appearance. When the Greeks fought Proteus, he changed his form multiple times. The Greeks found that they had to change their style of fighting each time Proteus changed his form. The Greeks defeated Proteus because they had the ability to change styles of fighting each time it was necessary. Of course, this was a fictional story, but the next story is a factual story that took place about 800 years after the Greek tale was told.
The true story you are about to read about took place in the city of Baghdad on the edge of a town called El Amel. This event took place on September 30th 2004, and it was one of the biggest battles that the United States faced in Iraq. This battle was important because it took place within the narrow streets of a busy neighborhood. The Soldiers all had to act as one team even though they were in different locations. This mission was organized by a team of managers.
This battle was especially difficult for the soldiers because they were fighting in homes that resembled those of their own families back home. However, they were specially trained to ignore the feelings their surroundings created. This battle took place because of an Al Qaeda terrorist attack against the citizens of Iraq. This attack consisted of four cars which each carried bombs and the drivers of the cars held the detonators.
This event started out with a large crowd of Iraqi people who were celebrating the completed construction of a new structure. The first
