    Chapter 1

I checked my shoulder bag for the last time. Sunscreen, vitamin water, reading glasses, phone charger, everything was in there.

You’ve checked that at least a dozen times today, honey, James stated the obvious.

There’s nothing wrong with making sure. Besides, you used my charger earlier, which, might I say, I don’t like.

Yeah, but I put it back. What can I do if you don’t let me bring anything of mine here?

Your character? Tell me again, why do you need to interview a math teacher?

He’s not just a math teacher, James. I’ve told you this before, he’s an applied mathematics expert, and my character is an evil genius who’s plotting to destroy the world.

Through maths? He seemed to take my project in stride. I grabbed my mug from his hand and turned sideways. I’m sorry. Alright, so he wants to destroy the world with… maths basically. Sounds like a good plan. No one likes maths.

"You’re being silly. My character is using his knowledge in statistics and applied
