    A final appearance as a naked and bloody heap of broken bones resting atop a rocky outcropping outside a resort hotel is a sad demise for a small town banker, but that is the fate of Larry Jenner. Business problems may have driven him to choose that ending for his life, but angry clients, partners or his spouse may also have made that choice for him.
    Dylan, an overnight guest at the hotel who was nearby when the banker died, is among those interrogated by investigators. Their questions focus on a stalled half-built condominium project idled after Larry, the now deceased banker, suspended the funding. Their interest raises Dylan’s curiosity about the project and alerts him to the likelihood of a bargain well suited to his personal situation.
    Meeting Sydney, a talented and daring woman with the same financial coup in mind, sweetens the appeal of the project. The potential is obvious for them to share knowledge, skills, risk and more attempting a bold business deal. The potential is also obvious for them to share the same fate as the dead banker if greed and overconfidence lure them into more danger than they can handle. Ongoing ominous incidents, the shady individuals associated with the project, and the violent death of a principal suggest a bad outcome for Sydney and Dylan is a strong possibility.
