Flextime schedules or arrangements, having originated in Germany, have been adopted and included in many organizations’ policies in many firms worldwide. The schedules have been extended and modified over the years in diverse organizations to comply with the needs of the organization implementing the flextime schedules. This empirical study investigates the impact of 5 types of flextime schedules on employee motivation from the employee perception. The types of flextime schedules are "One day in the week home-office", "One family day in the month", "Career break in the year", "Bonus vacation" and "Free happy hour in the week".

Flextime schedules or arrangements, having originated in Germany, have been adopted and included in many organizations’ policies in many firms worldwide. The schedules have been extended and modified over the years in diverse organizations to comply with the needs of the organization implementing the flextime schedules. Research works have been conducted to investigate the implementation of flextime schedules in organizations, the effect of flextime schedules on work-family relations, the impact of incentives including flextime on employee motivation, and other related subjects. This empirical study investigates the impact of 5 types of flextime schedules on employee motivation from the employee perception. The types of flextime schedules are One day in the week home-office
