About this ebook
Used properly, Jerkbaits are among the most devastatingly versatile and effective fishing lures that you can put in your tackle box. And despite what you might sometimes hear, they are an all-year-around option that can be used to target both active and shut-down fish.
In fact, jerkbaits have an amazing power to fool fish that can’t be taken on any other style of hard bodied lure. So it makes sense that those anglers who really learn to fully exploit the virtues of the jerkbaits tend to experience dramatic improvements in their catch rates.
So when all is considered it’s astounding how few anglers ever properly figure jerkbaits out! In fact, they’re probably one of the most misunderstood and misused hard bodied lures on the planet.
And that means there is a whole lot of fish out there that aren’t getting caught when they should be!
In what may be the first eBook ever fully dedicated to this style of lure, Greg Vinall puts jerkbaits under the microscope. In his typical no-nonsense style, he lays out simple and easy to understand techniques that means anyone can learn jerkbaits quickly. And that means more and better quality fish sooner.
Some key topics that Greg covers in detail are:
*How jerkbaits can help you catch more fish in those hard-fished waters where fish are educated and nothing seems to work
*Simple strategies, sequences and techniques for fine tuning your methods and maximizing your catch
*Understanding cadence and how important it is to successful jerkbait fishing
*Secrets to using topwater, shallow running, deep diving, suspending and sinking jerkbaits
* Recognizing the difference between hunger strikes and reaction strikes and knowing just which buttons to push that a fish will hit your lure whether it’s hungry or not!
* The one huge mistake that 90 percent of fishermen make when using jerkbaits - it's easily fixed and will massively increase your success (you'll wonder what you've been doing all these years!)
Best of all, getting great results from jerkbaits doesn’t require specialised or expensive tackle. In fact, if crankbaits are part of your normal fishing routine, then the odds are you already have a suitable outfit and you’ll probably even have some suitable lures in your collection.
With a little thought, strategy and know-how and some knowledge of how baitfish behave under various conditions you’ll quickly unleash the power of jerkbaits and be catching better fish than you ever thought possible!
Happy fishing!

Important Insights From The Author
If you’re serious about putting extra fish in your bag, then there are few better ways than learning to use jerkbaits properly. If you’re not 100% up to speed with how to use these wonderful baits then I guarantee that you are missing out on some brilliant fishing!
Jerkbaits are amazingly effective lures, but in my experience very few lure fisherman know how to fully exploit the many qualities that make these baits awesome fish takers.
Now let’s be perfectly clear – this book is not intended for the professional tournament angler.
Why not?
Because I’ve written an eBook that blows the lid off some powerful stuff that the pro’s are doing daily. But the difference is that I’ve made the techniques accessible to everyone. This book isn’t written for the pro with 6 expensive rods lined up, each one spooled with a different line and rigged at the ready with a different lure to be swung into action in an instant. It’s written for the average lure fisherman who has a couple of rods that cover all of his needs and adapts his techniques to get the best results possible without taking a second mortgage to buy tackle.
If you have a rod that’s suitable for tossing crankbaits then the only other things you’ll need are a burning desire, passion and enthusiasm for catching fish.
So what will I cover?
* I’ll demystify jerkbaits and help you choose a good one, including hints on color selection
* I’ll debunk the rumour that jerkbaits are not a year round option and show you how to catch even shut down fish in any season
* I’ll walk you through simple strategies and sequences to find what techniques are working on a given day and help you fine tune your methods to maximize your catch.
* I’ll give away, in detail, the secrets to using topwater, shallow running, deep diving, suspending and sinking jerkbaits, and even give some tips for trolling these versatile lures
This eBook is a no frills way for anyone to vastly improve the quantity and quality of fish you catch on lures, simply by unlocking the awesome power of jerkbaits. It can take you from being one of the masses who don’t really understand jerkbaits and will help put you in with the elite 10% of fishermen who catch 90% of the fish! Just having a clear understanding of exactly what jerkbaits actually are and how to use them will drastically improve your results.
Are you ready to transform your fishing?
What Is A Jerkbait?
Much mystery and confusion surrounds the subject of jerkbaits, and it stems from the fact that as a group, jerkbaits are very poorly defined. One possible reason is that the popular literature treats them as if they are a group of their own, when in fact they are actually a sub-set of the crankbait group of lures.
Now, I’m sure that there are some jerkbait specialists who will disagree with me on that point, but the fact is that crankbaits are a very diverse group of lures covering a lot of body shapes and styles – and jerkbaits are just one of these. A distinct one, certainly, but nonetheless the lures we are talking about are hard bodied, bibbed lures and are therefore part of the crankbait family.
So with the controversy behind us, let’s have a look at the key design features of a typical jerkbait:
* They tend to have relatively long, slender bodies that allow them to glide and dart
* The towpoint tends to be on the nose of the lure, and very rarely on the diving lip
* They usually have 2 or 3 sets of treble hooks along the underside
