I enjoyed reading this story for several reasons. The first reason is because of the illustrations. Each page is bright, and colorful. The images draw the reader into the story. They really help capture what is going on. My favorite illustration in the story is when Hippo gets hit in the head by a coconut. The illustrations only capture the humor in the story. The second reason I enjoyed the story is because of the plot. The plot is simple, and easy to follow. In addition, it is also funny, and it encourages the reader to keep reading. The last reason I enjoyed the story is because of the characters. I really liked the Hyena. I like how the author portrays him in the story. He is trying to have fun by pranking his friends, but doesn’t like it when he gets pranked. Therefore, the central message of the story is to “treat people the way you want to be treated.”
