      Foreword

      In our society today we can see the unfolding of world events that are designed to produce great fear and terror.

      The Word of God warns us as Christians that we will experience trials and tribulations. However, we are also told that we will overcome them all!

      Growing up as child in a godly home did not exempt us from challenges. In fact, far from it! However, the difference in our lives was that I had a praying grandmother who lived a life of faith, stood on the Word of God and fought and won battles each day through prayer. She was a mighty woman of prayer and has raised two generations of prayer warriors that have learned to fight through prayer and continue to stand strong in faith and in the power of the Word.

      God’s people have been equipped with instructions in the Word concerning how to defeat the enemy. This book, The Anatomy of a Prayer Warrior is written by my mother, Minister Josephine Hubbard, and is designed to instruct you systematically on how to operate as a successful prayer warrior. The principles and practices are tried and true and will fortify you as you fight for your families, your churches and your communities.

      The Kingdom of God has need of you! It is time for the prayer warriors to arise and unite to fulfill the Great Commission and to ensure that in these last days we are gaining and not losing ground.

      Utilize The Anatomy of a Prayer Warrior to enrich your prayer life and to equip others to fulfill their divine assignments in all the earth.

      As I prayed to the Father in the name of Jesus and sought His guidance, I received in my spirit that the Lord’s purpose for giving me the assignment to write this Prayer Warrior Book is: (1) to humbly share the steps that the Holy Spirit led me to take as He prepared me to become a Prayer Warrior (2) to inspire and encourage you to answer God’s Call to become a Prayer Warrior if you haven’t already done so (3) to provide you with a teaching guide to use in your personal preparation or as you assist others to become a Prayer Warrior in God’s Kingdom and (4) to provide information on how to pray like The Prophets. This book can also be used for Bible Study and group discussions. Prayer has been an integral part of my life as a child and as an adult. I am still a work in progress. God has not finished with me yet.

      By the grace of God, I was reared in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as a youth. My Mother, Altamese Brodie and Grandmother Mable Acosta fanned the flames of my spiritual gifts by their Christian example. Prayer was an integral part of both of their lives. My father, Joseph Brodie and grandfather, (Papa) Love Brodie, both shared their love of Bible study and some of the truths in them with me. My Aunt, Margarette Brodie Morrison mentored and encouraged me as an adult to live 2 Timothy 2: 15 : Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. (NIV) I also like this scripture in the King James Version – Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

      There is life that exists outside the scope of the physical eye. This is called the spiritual and or supernatural. Those who have accepted God’s Call to serve in His kingdom as an Intercessor, Prayer Warrior, or Prayer General are often given the God-given gift of seeing into the heavenly realm and all the way to the Throne Room of God. (Revelations 4:1) I am humbled to share some of my experiences on this journey with the Lord. It is my prayer that this Book will inspire, encourage and motivate you to daily surrender your life to God, and to seek His purpose and plans for your life in His Kingdom. The Call to be a Prayer Warrior for the Lord is an honorable one. I am humbled to be called by God to serve as a Prayer Warrior and Prophetic Intercessor. May God bless you on your personal journey.
